I installed this thing last night in a 2006 GX470.
Everything is working well (haven't wired cameras) but the sound quality is inferior. I made sure to reset the bass, treble, mid to 0 and volume to 40 on the factory unit before removing. I also went into the console and adjusted the FR LR and volume.
anyone have a fix or suggestion?

Hey guys I got mine installed. I saw a thread about this but I'm not tech savvy - is there a way to change that yellow lambo on boot up to a landcruiser? can the car on the on inclinometer be changed to a landcruiser? do you have the patience to explain it to a tech moron like me? thanks
also have issues with engine interference, buzzing etc. The volume, even at 1, is pretty loud. I read the thread that advised to reinstall old unit, turn volume down all the way, then reinstall PX6. Has anyone tried this fix? thanks again

Short description... Go to System Info and select the LC picture.
I wish I could fix the airbag thing for you folks with post Jan 2006 production trucks. I doubt they planned or even thought about the srs system check. It's different for 06 and 07 and only in the usa, and I think one other country.
Without knowing exactly what is retained as far as the circuit boards and wiring in the lower climate control part of it I can't speculate too much. searching Prius, Lexus GS and ls from the same years and see if they fixed theirs might be worthwhile.
I thought someone on mud had this not be a problem for 2006 and 07, but I can't find it anywhere.
The quick and dirty fix is going to be a resistor either at the center airbag controller or at the point where the lower pcb got removed.
Center airbag controller is a pain to get to.
The c28 plug is where I'd try.
If anyone has good pictures of the back with all the climate control part of things exposed I could venture a guess.

What happens to the c28 connector in the LC when you install this thing?
The purple and blue wires in this connector to the left. Purple on top and a blue one directly below it. That is where I would start looking . IF --the new Tesla thing has no provisions for these two in the c28 to connect to anything then that is why the srs code is triggered.

this worked and I got the menu, but when I select any of the LC options, I get a pop up saying " can't find any logo file" and nothing changes. I'm connected to wifi, if that matters
but maybe the driveway is too far from the house for wifi to work. even though it says connected
That worked! Problem was there's about 8 different LC options and I tried everyone. On mine its Cruiser 100 HI. If you load the wrong one, you get that error message and HVAC stops working. But I guess we're still stuck with that little white Audi on the incline meter. Thanks for your help.

Do I understand correctly that you don’t need to purchase the car play module or TPMS bc these are already integrated into the newer (X6) unit?
I have 2 blown speakers and was planning to replace factory amp and speakers, is there a build list for this anywhere?

I'm going to try and determine the folder where the logo files need to be placed as I'd like to replace with my own images.
I read there is an app you need from the manufacturer/reseller.

The file is called zxwlogo.png... I have my truck on the meter one.

I'm looking into that and getting the MPG too.
Ordered the PX6 from Rhino Radios today. Excited to dig into it. Much thanks to those who came before me and figured out a lot of the details.
The radio replacement, IMO, is a piece of cake... The hectic part is running all the new cameras wiring and other extras you add.
From reading here you can get a bad unit... hit or miss kinda thing.
Mine for the most part works... I lucked out with the srs code. But my buttons don't work.
When I run the cameras... I'll look at mine. I don't have the SRS issue.
