I set the volume to max on the stock unit before removing.

Hello, in settings there is a loudness button to turn on or off and in advanced settings (in my radio the code is 8861) there is a volume dimmer button. This may help but for personal experience if you set your volume to max on the stock unit you will have to connect it again and set it lower in order to manage your volume with the tesla screen.

Hope this helps

I was hoping I didn't have to do that but it seems inevitable. I do have loudness off but I'll try the advanced menu with your code to see if that provides any solution.

Did you have any issues with the physical buttons not working and the reverse camera image being "flipped"?

In my case nor the A/C or the buttons work and have not connected the rear camera because I won’t do it until the rest of the unit works

Your rear camera may have a loop of wire on one end or the other. Check the manual, usually you can snip the wire to flip the image and vice versa.
I did that as soon as I got home. I had to cut both the white and green wire. Plus using that 8861 code I fixed some other issues as well in the settings.

The physical buttons still don't work and now I have a airbag light on my dash.

In the middle of my install and have two questions I hope someone can answer.

I'm setting up my reverse camera now; does the wire labeled "back" need to be connected to the reverse signal? Where's the easiest spot to get that signal?

Secondly, I was messing around and it said the video was disabled for my safety, do I need to short a cable? I'm assuming the one labeled "brake?"

Thanks in advance

I got mine installed today in my 2007 LX470. Took a long time with the reverse camera because I was not able to find any reverse signal source in the front half of the vehicle. I ended up just running a long wire alongside the camera cable directly from the reverse light plug. Other than that it all plugged in and worked like it should. The hardest part is just cramming all the wiring in there in a way that allows enough room.

I did find out that the unit will take 3 separate analog cameras, so you can have Rear view, Side view, and Aux view. I will add a front bumper camera under Aux. My dashcam doesn't come through on the DVR either, unfortunately.

My last issue is the fake wood color is wrong. Does anyone have the right one and wants to trade? I'd also trade for silver or black.

I also went to the shop today. 2007 LC. They couldn’t make it work, reverse camera wise.

I ended up having them run a new wire. Replaced OEM reverse camera with a good quality pioneer. Other than that, we can’t figure out how to get the passenger airbag light by ac panel and the dashboard icon to not light up. Maybe something software wise.

I have ac controls working
I have obd ii ready to connect to vehicle. Haven’t gotten them to talk yet.

I have my iPhone bt connect to stream music
I have played videos and song files from the usb drive
The steering wheel has mapping. Fully customizable but I have yet to try and change it. Local radio sounds good.

I had a precious set up with a stronger amount of watts coming to the speakers so I miss that ability. If I find a software equalizer to the job that will be great. Or a real equalizer if it’s just not cutting it. So far over the last hour or two I have gotten used to the sound and I like it.
I’ve downloaded apps thru my cell hot spot and from the house Wifi.
Not sure what folder of music automatically loads when I restart the vehicle. There seems to be two bt Spotify playlists active. One the radio goes to which may be my liked songs folder and the other is the playlist I have open in the app. Funny thing is my cell phone does the same thing.
The video trailers the radio comes with are nice to see and hear. Simply living up to expectations. It will take a while to get thru all the options.

While I’m writing this I’m listening to the sound quality. The unit doesn’t have power. That’s my only gripe. It’s working fine. Sounds great.

Run the jewels - oh Mama

Got a lot of apps and connections to finish checking out.

I’ll check back.

In my 2007 lx470 we also ended up installing a new rearview camera and running a wire down the length of the car to the back. However, we took apart the OEM camera/mount and fabricated it to house the new one.

Installed the radio. Everything is working. Haven't installed the new back up cam yet. Good suprise is my 6 disk (in center console) OEM changer is working!!

Only thing that's weird is my inclinometer says I'm at like a 45 degree tilt, which I'm not. Any ideas about that? Haven't dug that deep into the console settings, so maybe it thinks I'mn in china or something. My GPS seems to work tho.
Do you have stock amp? I am trying to get mine installed in an '04 LC and can not get sound. Any tricks?

I'm having the weirdest issue today where the climate control screen is showing up in the top half the screen and the wallpaper and play button are in the bottom half

There's a reverse wire at/under the shifter.
There aren't any behind the dash. The others are at the tv ecu under the seat.

The srs code and light happens when the center airbag controller doesn't make it through the self checks.

That coincides with the extra extra yellow seatbelt light on the right hand side side panel.

Which happens because the late 06 and 07 have different integration panels and come with two extra wires on the right hand mini plug. That's the opposite plug of the CDL hard switch.

The five wires in that side have to be connected to something. Not just two or three wires, but all five if I remember right.
It's passenger airbag on and passenger airbag off if you look in the manual.

You can probably find the right resistor to put on there with trial and error Google.
Otherwise look for mating wires with what came in the box and see they match number wise with that side connector.

Ordered the PX6 for my 06 LC yesterday. Hopefully I don't have to wait a month to get it :D

Anyone get external temp to show?

Maybe I'm missing it, but there doesn't seem to be much info on how this system works with the 98-02 with separate climate controls (non-nav integrated). Any reviews yet? Success? It does look like the 98-02 model is currently sold out though.

If anyone's willing to teamup and see how we can install and get some 360 camera's working dm me
