I don’t pretend to know anything about the Toyota boxes but I’ve been hammering on a Scout box for several year now with 35” tires without issue. I would assume a Toyota box would be similar.
I was trying to make a joke from earlier in the thread... there was a bruhaha about getting an 80 box rebuilt with or without the 105 shaft upgrade.

Got it…

The Toyota nerds have their own language and most of their geeky jokes go right over my head, kind of like the one where they are always posting pictures of their Toyota parts that came in Toyota bags and boxes to prove they are a member of the Toyota OEM parts club.

It's easier to do hydro assist. Takes most pressure off the box, I think.
Not going down this rabbit hole. The biggest tire I'll ever be running 33x10.5, so the 80 box is already overkill for what I need. If I need bigger I'll take the 40 or 45. :)

Well Mike got a LOT of money back in his pocket since I did all the head scratching on this job on my nickel and not his.

Drilling the big holes for the frame sleeves is by far the worst part.

I quite resemble this statement. I might have even mastered it.

Can I ask what pitman arm that is? Not stock 80 and not a 60 arm.

I got it from Luke at 4x4 labs. Same drop as my FJ60 arm but takes the 80 series rod end without a spacer.

It was labeled IFS arm .....

Pulled pork he hump and shifter and remembered the FJ60 door sills I got from @Ratboy at Classic Cruisers. Cowboy amd I got them installed

Then I moved under the truck and pulled the rest of the things connecting the drivetrain to the Pig then yanked the Trans and case out

Then I tried to move the Pig back far enough to get the cherry picker in front but had to get tires out of the way so I just went ahead and tossed them on the trailer and hauled off this weeks Limo boxes.

Seat guy called. Said come get them....they were going to be closed a few days so I dropped everything and took off.

This is the Specter kit. New covers. Foam. Again. Very nice. Money well spent having them put them on. Very nice job.

Also get to show off the nice horse mat cargo mat that Mike and his son made last trip over as well as the beautiful tools from @Pigeaten

Then I jumped on my main project of the day. I would not have been happy if I did not get this done

Up and out with the engine hoist. I decided this would be easier engine only being solo. That’s why I separated the tranny/transfer. Lift makes that pretty easy

Then I had to drag the Pig out of the way. Tie rod but no drag link so that was fun

Put a pallet on the forks and lowered it on. @nvrlose54 is a 350 man so he’s going to take this 💩 off the property for me
