Well I'm in after missing the Feb. run. March could be nicer weather. :steer:

I say we should still check out the north property, as was planned. Now we have some more folks with some more familiarity of it...

Shipping my rig to Portland, Or.

Ben and I will be flying out second week of March to meet my friend in Portland who has a Range Rover Classic. Ben will be taking full possession of his new to him BJ74 he recently imported, and then the three of us will wheel through Oregon, Utah and Colorado, and then a long drive straight home.:steer::steer::steer::steer::steer:

Should send it by Rail if possible,, it's usually cheaper

Guys- I've been thinking of attending Cruise Moab next year. The Gotham City guys were talking about going out there again this year as a club but that fell through. I'd love to be able to ship my 40 to Moab and back figure it'd be somewhere in the neighborhood of $1K each way if using a commercial trucker. Any thoughts about attending next eyar and any input on potential cost? I've had cruisers shipped here from Kentucky, Tennessee, Arizona, and California over the years. Whaddya think?

I had a few cars shipped from around the county over the years as well, and Gary is spot on. It's about $800 to $1,200 per car depending on the location and carrier. I spoke with an independent guy (who comes to my yard for transports) a while back and he mentioned that you could get a significant reduction in price if you had enough vehicles to fill the trailer, leaving from a single origin point, and being delivered to a single destination. I know this probably seems overly simplified, but if a bunch of guys were going, this may be the best, and most cost effective route. You would need to get between 9 and 13 vehicles, depending on the transporters set up.

As far as the 3/21 run is concerned, I'm up for RC again. We didn't really get a chance to "see" the NE property on the last trip, being as how it was under 18" of snow!

I have CM2016 on the calendar. A bunch of the super cool dudes I met up in BC when picking up my 74 all have plans to attend in 2016, it's a bit much for me to swing this year but next year would be super. I'd like to ship at least one way, so keep me in the loop or mark me down as interested.

As Crusha said, we'll miss this months gathering but have April 18th on the calendar. Perhaps better for another thread but I'd also like a plan a family friendly weekend camping/overlanding/perhaps lite-wheeling weekend for sometime in the Spring. Would Bald Eagle state forest be too far away? Seems like the eastern part of the state might be better for more folks but I don't know a good location of the top of my head.

I plan to have the junk back together and be there on 3/21.

Ben, does it have to be in PA, maybe MD or WVA?
DCNR?
