A quick report from the green trails on the Eastern Reserve. We had a great day and were definitely able to push @DrNik 's stock 100series quite a bit. We started by running trail 6 down to the access road. Everything down there was very wet which wasn't a huge issue except the mosquitoes were firing. Neither one of our trucks has a/c so we called an audible and decided to head towards higher ground. Before lunch we spent time on #16, #23 and finally up #28 and over to #17/12. This put us out at the far end of the park near Tax Bracket. We ran all of the green trails out there. They were just challenging enough to keep me entertained and for my brother to have a great experience without doing any damage! We ended up back at the lot around 2:15. We traveled about 12miles and saw only a small portion of the park.

So to all the people in Andy's group with me I want to offer an apology... turns out all my starter needed was a couple of wacks with a hammer and the truck started right up. This is typical of me to get tunnel vision when I run into an issue like that, it's something I need to work on.
I've suggested that solution to many people over the years when they've had a similar issue but somehow I never got around to it this time.

Made it home! Didn't even have to refill the diff or top of the coolant. However I did have to do an eye ball alignment, Not sure where but I reached the limit of the front IFS to the point that I flattened majority of the eccentric tabs for my lower control arm alignment.

It was awesome to meet some of the fellas form Gotham City Cruisers. Awesome trip, great laughs and great trails, Anthracite is awesome. I look forward to wheel it again.

Mark, I will try to get the video from Woody to post up, or he may jump on to post up pictures and videos himself. (Really thought I needed to change my own shorts after that drop....)

I had a great time yesterday. Had the good fortune to run with the group led by @shmukster and @Crusha. The morning went well, no real issues for anyone, and we ran a good pace. The construction work being done on the pipline (natural gas I suppose?) was unreal, and the source of a lot of wandering.

After lunch, Crusha and shmukster decided on the next stage of the run. I vaguely remember someone saying we'd be back to the parting lot around 3  Anyway, the trail we ended up on turned out to be a treat. The opening of this scene was the first decent. It was basically stand on the brakes, letting out just enough to roll forward as slow as possible. My brakes never make any noise, but damn if they weren't groaning something fierce on that decent.

My memory says there were three sections of that decent. Each was a straight downhill, then an off camber turn to the next section straight down, etc. There should be a couple videos below of the last section, which was by far the tamest of the bunch.

After that was a relatively "flat" continuation of the trail. It was rocky and off camber. The rocks were lichen and moss covered, and the dirt that was there was a topsoil clay mix. The trail was tight, with trees galore. And about two thirds of the way through, the rains started. It was slick to say the least.

Throughout the day, I was truck number three out of the six in our group. I'm going to give that fact a lot of credit in that I did no body damage to the truck. I got to watch and learn from the lines Crusha and DCI Blain ran before my turn. That, a lot of luck, and some excellent spotting by smuckster and Crusha. Thanks guys!

The only issue my truck had a jammed up front locker. After a hill climb in the morning, the front locker would not disengage. Ran it that way all day. With a lot of help from @TunaKing, we pulled the actuator and managed to get the thing to pop loose. When all was said and done, my son and I got home around 7pm.

Here are some pictures:

OK, I cannot figure out why the pictures do not show. They show fine while composing, and the links work fine in an incognito window in Chrome and in Firefox...

Edit, and now they seem to be working...

What host are you using? or have you just uploaded them to the site?
It seems there are ads embedded in your pictures, if you open incognito the ad-blocker doesn't work and that may be why they show there.

Had a great day wheeling! Thanks for all the spots. First time to aoaa for me. Loose rocks and slicks trails for sure. Will definitely try to make it to the next group run next month. Really liked that last trail we went on. Would like to try it again when its not so wet and see how it is.

Looks like you guys had a blast, sorry I didn't make it. Arrived home late Friday from a bachelor party in Nashville and I think Saturday morning I was still drunk.
