Yeah, most Toyota and Lexus dealers just use generic fluid in the shop. You'd need to buy online. I am curious why you insist on Toyota OEM brake fluid, wouldn't any high quality DOT-4 do the trick?

I don't know. DOT3 is less hydroscopic. Also, @2001LC mentioned about their special formulation and possible relation of non-OE cheap fluid and MC failures.

It's just "cheap insurance" here for me. No specific reason.

Car is in "daily driver" mode right now. Few things left:
Need to move tires to new-er rims which I have (with TPMS)
Need to clay/polish and touchup (kid will do that)
Need to install new emblems (got all of them)

As promised - results of installing Teyes 360. I calibrated cameras yesterday. It works OK. Can do more adjustments because red lines is not there, BUT it is something you can just "know" and it will work. Much better than without camera.
Keep in mind - install on newer LX will be different/better. In my case - there is no OBD wiring. So it's just primitive electrics. No steering angle, no steering wheel buttons. Radio capable of doing some stuff just by GPS like making audio louder with speed, etc. But overall it's simple.

Refresher: I installed this on all standard wiring, no wires cut. Spliced turn signals and rear signal to get camera activation working.
Factory nakamichi amp and all speakers reused. I do have hum in speakers, any advice on getting rid of it appreciated. I can hear speaker hum and click even when I CPU on HU working, not even running car. On running car - I can hear alternator whine. This would be the last thing to fix, otherwise - I am happy with this radio as long as it stays working.

I know you probably haven't had much time to mess with the 360 since you've had all the issues with the vehicle - but any additional thoughts on it? Looking at grabbing the CC3 + 360 camera setup for my '05 LX here soon.

Carplay works great. Screen is excellent. 360 works but if you move camera by accident it obviously distorts. Also front bumper obstructs camera when mounted like i did inside emblem.

TPMS junk one of 4 didn’t work out of the box
Audio wasn’t great going with aftermarket amp will update.

Otherwise typical Chinese stuff. I don’t rely on it to last but if it will - great.

And I missed 05 part. In your case you will need to rely on it for AC control?… don’t know about that

Happy to report - fix to ABS module worked indeed! Really happy about that, no lights and module communicates in Techstream.

Replaced and installed correct brake line with correct clamp(s)

Replaced MC, all proper hardware.
Speaking of hardware... Common theme through the truck - 13mm hardware. I think I removed all of it by now, maybe this is what causing all this lack of luck stuff :)

I mean, 3 12mm and 1 13mm nut on MC cylinder. I didn't notice, and it drove me crazy for 5 minutes trying to get my socket on and work it under there :))

Parking brakes R&R - all works great.
MC works great. Brakes are good, I think better then before.

Getting really close to be "empty checklist"
Amplifier work... Where do you suggest to get ground for stereo and amplifier to eliminate ground loop possibility?

I decided to try factory wiring for AMP power and happy to report it's OK. I tried highest volume stock speakers can do and no issue with blowing fuses or overheating. So, all this 8ga wire with 60A fuse is just a bunch of BS. At least in my case with cheap-er amp and factory speakers.

AMP has fan on a bottom so couldn't really just leave it on a floor. Decided to mod stock mount and it worked excellent. Now I have about an inch off the floor and amp mounted in correct location. Some welding, some nutserts, some quick spray primer..

Tris truck just keep bringing me problems.. This one is not really related to LX, but it's a big heavy problem.

On a positive side - 1200 miles round trip. "Shake up". To Dallas and back, it was hot, there was hills. Pulled trailer both ways, going back with 4400lb car on top of trailer. Wasn't sure if LX will make it. Rear was compressed almost all way. It's time for rear shocks anyways.

No leaks, no oil use, transmission oil smells/looks fine. I am happy, I consider this truck good reliable driver now.

Nice to see that you get to use it after all the hard work. It looks like you need new rear springs, and/or air bags, not (only) shocks. Or the ball weight was too high.

I am aware that shocks actually don't do anything. In my case they are totally shot I think. And it was pretty heavy load too.

There is some kind of random springs on back and torsion bars upfront. With Bilsteins.

It rides OK to drive around town. I told my kid we will revisit all this in a year if truck survives. I feel like it sits too high without load actually.

Starting to think about suspension work. Really, what I need at this point - all new shocks, torsion bars, and rear springs.
Looks like shocks come with bushes so it's all good.

Problem though, is WHICH shocks. I am totally lost, there is so many PNs.. Need some assistance. Looking for regular-plain-stock-LC100-conventional setup ride.

1. Shocks suspiciously cheap, any comments? Can you confirm PNs on those.. See images.
2. Front torsion bars PNs.. Are those correct?
48161-60030 - RH torsion bar
48162-60030 - LH torsion bar

3. Rear springs - lots of choices, any pointer to blue/ping/green/height?? :)

Yes Tokico shocks for LC100 are shockingly inexpensive and work really well

I got my set from Partsouq when I converted my 98 LX over to LC suspension. I just looked up the shocks for a 98 LC.

Generally, the conventional LC springs and shocks do perform well. The coil springs have a limited life before they start sagging, that's how it's been since the beginning of the 80 series.
For coils, you have to do a bit of research. Some of those on your list are for AHC vehicles, at least the pink and the brown, possibly all P/Ns from -6A750 and up.
It's all about the length of the springs, and how much permanent extra weight you carry.
One tip is to look at standard springs for Australia, they have a bit sturdier suspension setup than in EU & US.
You can go one up on the left side, as the LHD 100 is heavier on the left (tank & driver). Otherwise you adjust that on the torsion bar only.

But how do I look up? I selected LC 100, 4.7, USA, and YET it gives me all variations on PartsOuq. I imagine they installed same springs on all Land Cruisers for US market in 2000.

I do want to get all OE parts and be done with it. Just can't figure proper part numbers to order. One thing is Torsion bars, look to be cost-prohibitive to buy new OE, looking for used ones. Those used should not be a problem I assume as long as they are from LC
