Hey there all! I just picked this guy up and drove it home. I wanted one with a hard top and ambulance doors, but couldn’t pass this one up. Curious on the best parts to upgrade or fix first. Thanks!

It’s a ‘76, but the PO said some work was done to realign the front since it was twisted a bit. The square bezel was on ‘79 and up right?

Drive it and enjoy it. Upgrades are best done after you know its character. You’ll know what to upgrade when you figure out you like.

Don’t sweat the different year parts. As someone else said “these things are like Legos.” They mix and match

Looks very similar to my May 1976 besides the front. Stripes, soft top, good interior with decent seats and the front rubber mat, I think you did well. Nice score!

I’ve got a front bumper like that here in Tucson that’s a little less wiggly than yours.

Hardtop is great but I only really run mine from October to April here in WA. In the warmer months I rotate using a soft top like yours, bikini top or no top at all depending on the weather. More choices equal maximum fun to me.

Wow didn’t think anybody would recognize that. I’m originally from Las Cruces, NM hence the name. Might have a family head that way some time

That’s true, this soft top is a little brittle so if I’d probably grab a new one if I wanted the open air look
