Gorgeous M5! I'm interested to hear how it drives and your impressions.

Someone asked me on the last page about the LC500 and my impressions, so briefly:
- I love it.
- I powder coated the wheels black.

That is all. :)

I posted this in pictures a while back. It's a 34 Yellowfin.

I've only gotten to drive it 40 miles in the last few days, but I will say to approach it as just a sedan is a mistake. It is a serious car and reminds me a lot of my Z06, the huge front tires skip across the tarmac, the differential hums and the transmission clacks. Also a serious lack of rear traction haha.

More thoughts coming soon.

Wheels look great, is it Nebula gray?

Oooo, Singapore Grey, yes? congrats! we loved ours. total rocket.

Singapore yes! This one will take some miles off the Landcruiser, I've put about 22k miles on the truck in 10 months.

ooooo, haven't seen one in person yet, but in all the reviews I've watched, the LCs sound glorious.

@Canyonero Beautiful LC. I love those things. I know I didn't take your advice on my new addition :)

Great car, "but" -

If you're not already aware, keep a very close eye on the S63tu (engine) service bulletins as you own it. The N63 (lower spec 4.4 TT) has been a nightmare reliability-wise for BMW, and they have done tens of thousands of engine-out timing chain replacements (and thousands more whole engine replacements) because of intrinsic flaws in the timing chain and engine design.

The S63 and the S63tu, by contrast, have maybe 1/100th the build volume of the N series, and by contrast they have NOT issued a Customer Care Package for the S-motors.

Why does this matter? Because some of the S motors have been exhibiting the same problems.

This was the chief reason we got rid of our X5M - too much risk for my taste. Modern BMWs are great driving cars, but they don't spend enough time driving as they should. :(

165K on my S62 and I drive it almost every day. Great old motor. Would never own a modern BMW V8.

My wife has a 528xi with the N20, and that seems to have been a pretty decent mill so far. No troubles at 58K. That motor is so small I can almost stand in the engine compartment but has plenty of zip.
