Back in 2023 we moved the 'boss' (wife) from a '13 GX to a '22 X7 with God's motor the B58. It's a great compromise for us guys who have young kids & can't justify a 3rd car (yet).

1997 Toyota T100 SR5 4x4 3.4v6 5speed Manual. Bought new in 1997 from then Tempe Toyota, AZ. Currently has 140K miles. Check engine light is on for Emissions issues I just can't seem to fix and airbag light as I disconnected the airbag, do not trust a 28 year old airbag. Most recent work was radiator and windshield wiper stalk and clock spring. Everything still works, power locks, power windows, ac. Most recent trip was hauling Kayak from Austin to Palacios to go fishing then back about 400+ miles round trip.
Also have motorcycle 2012 Honda ST1300A. Purchased new in 2012 only about 24K miles.

Recently got this fully loaded bmw X5 M60i (Beauty) in an individual color as a daily driver to pair with my supercharged LX 570 (The Beast).

Love them both.

Oxford Green! 😍
Yessir! Great eye, or should I say, special eyes. Oxford green over tartufo full merino, leather dash, Alcantara headliner, B&W stereo, carbon fiber trim, adaptive m sport pro suspension, all the packages available. I went all out with this one for my 40th. Had to have room in the back for the little girls so X5 worked and a 911 wasn’t an option. 🤣

It definitely helps. I used a broker so I was able to get about 12% off MSRP and 1.99% APR on the loan. My first experience using a broker and it was great. Just showed up and signed the papers and drove off with a pretty solid deal. Still, definitely the most expensive car I’ve ever owned by far!

Of all the brands that allow custom orders I think BMW does it the best. Lots of amazing colors to pick from inside and out. Pretty easy to get an allocation. Pricing is relatively affordable (compared to the the likes of Audi or Porsche who is in another stratosphere these days) and the delivery times are very reasonable as well with most in the 6 to 8 month range.

I wish they still offered an overseas delivery option. The Welt Museum is really cool if you’re into the brand or just cars in general. They even have bikes and airplane exhibits out there.

Earlier this year I ordered a Volvo V60 CC and am doing OSD with them. They fly you out to Sweden and you take delivery of the car there for a couple weeks up to a month or so. Airfare and two nights of lodging and meals are all covered by Volvo. Looking forward to the experience.

I didn’t know bmw quit this option. Too bad. It was a cool perk to pick from if it fit your schedule.
