here:

http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_1991_LEXUS_SC300~400_UZZ30L-ACPZKA_1107.html

shows the "Mounting Bracket" taken from the same engine but out of a Soarer.

Here you see the difference, Stole this pic from "Toyminator"

Here you see this "Mounting Bracket" sitting on the engine.

The Partsnumber is 12315,

i woud be happy if someone can get them for me, we don´t have Soarer over here. Or just give me a advise where to get it. I just don´t wanna go to a Lexus dealership.

I shoud have this Brackets, but someone promised to fast:frown:

Looks Good Matthes. You're getting that together quick.

Plan was to get a nice modern DIESEL, nice wheels-probably too big,put it together, have a nice high milage car and be happy:clap:

Is the LS400 V8 a diesel? Or petrol? Wish we had more diesel options over here in the US.

Lexus LS 400, engine 1UZ-FE is a Petrol

My favorite diesel is the last version 1KD, out of a Landcruiser 120. 173 Horses, 405 NM ( hope i remember right), but still expensive

Some gearbox stuff

Try to update this so fast as possibel, i have a lot of questions to ask, but will inform or share first.

I want one of this too.

4865148.jpg

But............the cost still a million:)
And Toyota does everything to make things complicated.
Splitcase what we have here is the same like the LC60/61 latest, gearbox Turbominitruck, tail housing .........different.:)

I got contact with "Brendan" and after some pm: bought another Gearbox( the same modell), to send him the tail housing.

Now are they ready, and i can cut them in pieces.

But there was still something missing. Brackets. I piced the missing pieces today after a 1100 km roadtrip in Sweden.

They need some love, but no problem if i look at the Toyota pricelist:).
It means that i have now all my suspension parts.

Some fresh pics, how the Runner looks right now.

I have a question, since you have put a larger, heavier engine in there, do you have to reinforce the frame?
I know my 4runner frame is a bit thinner than an 80 series.

I dont know it 100%,
but it isnt that much more:), probably less. I come up with this numbers one day:).

But i am going to reinforce it anyway. Wanna get and keep a good impression to the approval engineer. I dont need a trailerqueen:).

After seeing your build i have a better idea of what you are doing.
But i am not quite clear on a few things, so.
Are you staying with the leaf springs or are you using the 80 series coils and links?

in the meantime( for people with to much time):

OK, so you will not have the problems i ran into. I was limited to the width between the leaf springs.
You can go much narrower than i could so you don't have to worry about finding an axle shaft long enough for the long side, cool.
My brakes are as close to the springs as i could get, and to keep the diff in line with the Tcase output made my long side axle shaft longer than i could find, so off set center was needed.
Not an issue with me as i will not see freeway use.
So which axle housing do you want to end up with, the 60 or the 80?
The 60 should be easier for you to narrow like it was for me.

I got input on original 60 axle shafts,609mm and 978mm without the flange.
I allredy copied the linkbrackets/panhard and cut the coilbrackets verry carefully, reusabel away, from the 80 axles.
I have a appointment next weekend in germany, with a axleguy which produces something different.I take a knuckle with me.
Then a decission.:)or:crybaby:
One week. Probably going to make my money pit bigger.

Brake

Got some things clear.
A verry lucky deal got me Landcruiser 200 front brakes, calipers and disks. :) Somebody bought an upgrade, so they are leftovers.
Both (disk diameter and Piston diameter) are way bigger than the 80 ones. And i got them(1 set) mounted on the 80 knuckles and hubs.
The hole setup(my work) is looking a bit rough, after only 20 min. So pic will come little later, with the "street version".

I got another axle. This time a 60 full float rear. Include the shafts, means i am on a good way to get "my" rearaxle done.

Next positiv thing:
someone found my Package on 28.September( which left Norway 6.August).Acknowledge receipt 17.August.

Negativ:............spend my buck on the next fancy parts on the list, means waiting for the next paycheck or get killed by my girl:beer:

February

Hi,

its one year later, and i am on the way to get some things done.
My job keep me bussy, verry. And travelling is a part of it. Last September for example back to Germany to be at "Automechanica" in Frankfurt.
Used this to load my (company)car with Frontaxleparts from IFS Hilux, Solidaxle Hilux, Landcruiser 60,70 and 80. Made a stop deep in the northwest Countryside.:)
This stop made my vallet dry. And my girlfriend curius. She looks closer to my savings since that.:o
Ok.
Some pics.

What i want there.
I was just asked for parts, basicly, but asked by the wrong guys. The have a nice product.

6318408sdl.jpg

6318409bcr.jpg

The Aluminiumbox works with 1:1,16, the Steelbox with 1:1,6. Inspired by my delivery with all this different opportunities the owner promised me a good price.

And i got stuck with a hole bunch of new fancy(exp....) opportunities. The Steelone comes with H1 8Lug, the Aluminiumone with 5x6,5", Landrover boltcircle.
Probably to change if changabel to 5x150. Means all knew wheels. It means also...........holy scrubradius..........max backspace.

That was in september.
