Hey War, Im headed back there to pick up my 2 rims I will check that truck which I got the hubs out off it has a 22re in it.I will let you know.

Viper, where are you located and where is this yard of wonder that you keep finding all this great stuff at? I am guessing out west.

Nice finds all around. I wish one of you two junkyard dogs would find this VSV for me: https://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota-truck-tech/564149-what.html

I'm not sure which engines it came on but my broken one is on an 85 22RE. The numbers are stamped on the top and I need 89570-35220.

Can't. 1 of the shops I used to use just had stupid drama and I am not going back to them anymore until I hear an apology for the misunderstanding.

~I even thought for a second of deleting the pics related to them. (Not the place w/ the switches, seats, etc.)

Wild west

Jynx, i would love to take you there but your 2 time zones away.i guess just lucky shot. There is a few near my house and the rest are about 10 miles away.:D

Yep, thats what I thought. Man it is amazing to me the concentration of these trucks in and around the west and southwest. Here we are lucky to find one or two in a yard and by the time they land in a yard there isn't much left worth picking, or the yard wants WAY too much for the parts.

*We should consider doing the mudship deal that all the Cruiser heads use and have our own little parts train for this part of the forum?

Have either of you seen a set of 1st gen SR5 4runner seats in grey? The guy I got my current project from swapped the grey ones into his rig and replaced them with red. They need recovering anyway but a good set of decent used ones would probably run me about the same. Also, any grey interior bits like door handle trim cups, the "L" trim that covers the bolts on the top, uncracked dashpad, etc. would all be things I might be willing to pay to ship if the price was right.

I would also be up for a MUDship network. I run between Jackson and Knoxville along I40 pretty regularly if that helps get the ball rolling.

Hey Norcal that is a great idea i'm sure the cruiser guys wouldn't mind a lot of them hits the road all the time. maybe we should have a mudship board of sorts? maybe the mods could come up with something my brain is still in sleep mode.:D

I just got my 4Runner back from the paint shop and noticed that the number stamped on top of this VSV is not the Toyota part number so I corrected my earlier post (above). The Toyota part number, for the sake of completeness is 89570-35220.

Sorry for the bump but I can't stand to leave bad info in a thread.

No, it's appreciated, also keep in mind the part numbers have changed recently also. If you were to say go in with that # it may not correlate to today's stuff. (If you're buying it from a dealer though, you got other worries? $$$ )

;)

That's still the right part number and it's in the Toyota system; it's also discontinued and therefore unavailable new. :-(

VSV

Hey War, Do you still need that VSV? i think i found one last week not sure if working,i can buy it and return it if doesn't work.:D

I'll let him have first dibs, but if he passes (he posted in the "What is this" thread that he fixed his), I will definitely take it. I have a working one now, but they are unobtainium so I'd like to have a spare.

I will give you guys a heads up when i get it,i will test it also to make sure i'm not wasting money.

I wouldn't mind having a spare also but I think mine is good to go now. KLF is welcome to it but if you stumble across more than one and they are cheap (I'm thinking <$20) then I would buy one.

On a similar note, I haven't checked ebay but let me know if you see any dark brown door handles in good shape (see pic). I've bought good arm rests and cranks over the years and just noticed that these pulls and surrounds are in pretty bad shape.

Funny that you are looking for handles, cause I am looking for the handle trim cups.

I would love to have the big ones, same each side and shown to the left in the picture, but the more elusive one is the small one shown to the right. It is only on the passenger side so that rear passengers can open the door. If anybody finds some of these in gray, or any color for that matter please snatch them up and I will paypal you the $

Thanks

^^^ I have these same sculpted door panels in gray waiting to install (I'm also installing power windows), and I also need the cups for all 3 handles. They unfortunately are different than the more common ones like pictured in brown above. No idea where I'm gonna find them...
