I have an 86 4Runner, brown interior. I'm looking for interior trim pieces, dash, door panels and specifically the B pillar trim, rear cargo trim. My truck is not an SR5 but if you find matching SR5 trim for the back ill consider. PM me with pics if you come across anything that I might need. This truck was from TX and as such most of the plastic bits have been tortured by the Sun and heat since 86.
Thanks in advance-

what about the bearing for the two piece rear drive line? i need a couple of those.

*NOTE: "Promised to not reveal location(s) until WarDamnEagle has first shot @ them since he replied first."*

Please go ahead. I haven't contacted them yet but will do so in due course. My son, who is driving the 4Runner right now, really wants to try to find some second gen tan leather seats to put in the front. I'm still sold on cloth and would prefer to stay with the 1st gen SR5 seats so I will probably still call and talk to them.

Thanks again for finding and sharing a source so rich in inventory!

OK so I spoke to these guys early last week and just for reference they will sell a pair of recovered SR5 first gen 4Runner seats for $600 a pair. I'm guessing, like many things, this price is negotiable but I didn't try as I would then have to get them shipped, etc. and I normally don't negotiate unless I'm serious about buying. I also think, judging from my phone conversations that it would be a much easier transaction in person.

I asked him if that price was for "original" OEM fabric and he said no but it would be close. I couldn't pin him down about whether or not he has a source for original fabric and, again, this discussion would have been much easier in person. I have searched the internet on and off for about 3 years looking for original fabric with no success.

Thanks again for sharing this source. It looks like they have quite a stockpile and I'm sure this stuff will only continue to get more and more scarce, particularly with programs like "cash for clunkers".

pics?

Hey War,would you have a pic of this specific seat pattern that you looking for and have you tried asking your local dealer if this could still be available? if you don't mind PM me the VIN and i could check for you my local Toyata dealer is just across from my work and i'm a regular there.did you see the pic i took of the 86 truck in first page it has some decent seats but would need a new skin.let me know.:D

John

Well it's a bit more complicated than that. I have deluxe seats that need recovering and I would prefer to have recovered or pristine SR5 seats. My vin won't give you an SR5 pattern. I seriously doubt that the skins are still available. I know for a fact that the foam is not available (for either).

I have already swapped the rear seats and panels for ones out of an 86 turbo. Unfortunately the fronts weren't avaialble or I would have been all set (actually the passenger side was but not the driver's).

I found these tan '95 seats and will probably buy them and go from there. They seem to be in pretty good shape but I only have phone photos to go from as I haven't seen them in person yet. The price is right at $200 for the pair.

nice find

Could you bargain a bit more on those seats?$200 is a bit steep my friend but if you are willing to pay that price that is totally up to you.the seats that i got was out of a 94 sr5 and i paid less than $100 for the set.;)

You would be surprised what Toyota still have in there depot it always surprised me when i ask for something i thought would no longer exist in there inventory.i just found out that they still have a window regulator for my 60 series Landcruiser and the cost is about the same for a good used one here on mud.

Just an update on recent find boys, will post pics soon as i unload all the loot in the garage.i will not say for now what i have found.

found a good pair of 4runner sr5 seats.:D

Last but not the least

I saw this one sitting along the side when i was looking for a manual trans. for a honda civic that i'm working on,i ask the owner if he is parting it out and he mentioned that he just got it about a week ago and waiting for the title. We started talking about cars and he ask if i would like to buy it and i told him my wife will cut my head off if i buy another Toy he mentioned that it runs only problem is it had a bad flexplate. So what you guys think would this be a worthy project for my daughter? :bang::hhmm:

I forgot to mention that this yard also have a few 80 series Landcruiser still intact for the most part i didn't have enough time to go look what year and condition i know there are a few of you here have 80 series cruisers let me know or PM me if anything i could go look for.

John

I'm telling you it would be perfect for her unless it's got a cracked manifold (they all do). I mentioned it to you know who while at his yard after work and he even pointed out if you could get it for what you said it's worth a ton more parted out. Like I said, regardless of the turbo, the auto makes it a dog, all the lines and plastic are going to be cracked or cracking (electrics here, don't trip about the interior) and those auto's need babysitting.

Then again, that all translates to the perfect "Daddy's little girl car", or we do a 5-speed swap on it. :D

Even better, 3.4w/Auto Swap with the correct right side output case. :ban: *By then of course you're up to $8k easily.

*Yes, they unscrew and can be replaced, and yes, there are 2 tabs like I thought you can depress and pop just part of it out to replace the lowermost part.
