@DarkHorse1HDT I got one after realizing the hpd does little. The problem with the provent is it dumps liquid oil directly on the filter element and it quickly saturates. I still use it as it seems fine around idle but I think just vents through the relief valve past that. Just needs to keep the stank down when stopped so I guess it's ok. Might try something else in the future.

I've been running a straight vent hose and haven't had any issues. The hose terminates at the top of my frame. Why not just do that? (cheaper... no possibility of oil getting back into intake tract)

I was doing this but I felt like too many fumes was getting into the truck when the windows were down. Diesel is already so cancerous, didnt want it to give it a better chance of shaving some years off my life.

If I ran the vent further back it may have solved this....

Hey mate,
You have an amazing truck. I installed the PDI on my 1HDFT and got 200F drop on EGT. They did an amazing job designing the fit in the engine bay.
Also installed a stainless PPD exhaust. Bolts right in. And last was the Gturbo.

I mentioned how I was getting air in my system, I decided that my first task was just to simply crack the injector lines and push air out, then I was going to replace the line from the filter to the pump with a clear line to see if I found any bubbles.

But before doing so I found some air escaping the actual fuel primer pump, so I decided to make a quick little partsouq order and bada bing bada boom, I literally just finished installing this so im not sure if it will solve my problem Ill have to wait until I let the car sit for awhile and try starting her up to see if im getting any weakness

(I love new shiny OEM parts)

We always like what we dont have so I got rid of the clears and added some ambers

Then I started to collect mods for the next part of the baseline:
Oil Change
Fuel Filter
Catch can to help with the startup smoke(Spoiler it helped a ton)
Belts

Got the catch can installed, recommend this to all 1hdt owners, cleared up a bunch of smoke.

I also took it to a diesel specialist to check out the pump and do a compression test on the motor. Not excellent numbers but fine enough to not have to worry about it, I want to start road tripping this thing. We just drove to California but I wasnt quite ready to take this yet.

Also this came from Australia, not sure when I will have time to install it but its coming soon

did you get instructions with this kit?

Not but I have a folder with 5 or so intercooler installs, once everything is off it should be pretty simple.
I believe I purchased the same one off eBay and I have no clue where I can mount this with the brackets provided, the pics they sent me have the tubes looping under the rad support.

Yeah, I figured I would have to create my own bracket for it and possibily even a few extra universal bends. Keep me updated with progress, if all you have to do is get a bracket built then its a pretty good deal.

You can get L shaped straps from hardware store , that’s what I used.
