Mike,
You called and said he was going to be late. Let us know if he showed at 8PM. Sorry I couldn't make it. If you end up doing it page me. I'll PM you my pager and new work phone.

Ken

one note...there was parts from at least two nice looking mustard later model cruisers (doors, hardtop sides, fiberglass lids, w/s frames, etc) that, judging by the condition of the doors, were not rotted enough to be parted out, there were also parts from a 55 (white, judging by the hood), an olive 40, and a rattle can white 40...

i'm off to look at the stolen rigs section...

Cruiser Rescue 2004

Well since there is a pic on the pirate4x4 site I will post one of mine here. :D It is not that good because my camera phone sucks sweaty monkey balls. I also brought the video camera but in all that was going on I forgot to pull it out. But I think we need to let mike tell the story. :flipoff2:

I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped out.

I guess I learned the hard way but I will never make that mistake again. It took Napier until 8:00 to finally show. I think he was a bit intimidated but our goal was to get the truck back and we did. Napier willingly handed over the truck. I know we have the big parts and I can source the small parts if needed. The vin numbers are still intact as well. He wanted us to take other parts but, as tempting as it was, there was a possibility those parts were stolen so we declined and took only what belonged to the '73.

Think twice before you buy a car/truck without a valid title (even if it is a fairly rust free 45lv). Get everything in writing (having signed contracts made this a lot easier). If you need to sell a Cruiser, sell it for cash. This ordeal cost me over a thousand dollars that I will not get back and I still have no title for the wagon. I got the truck back and as stressful as this was, I couldn't be happier.

Thanks again to everyone who helped out.

More than happy.

For as big of an ass clown :princess: as Napier was, I noticed it was very hard to get mad at him. He is just so pathedic and weak that you almost want to be sympathetic to his delema. Fawk. On my way home I got so pissed off at my self for feeling bad for him. That fawker dicked over so many fellow cruiser owners. ARRRGGG.

I need a beer.

yeah nick im with you on the feeling bad for him.i wanted to pummel him unmercifully but then i saw him.but i let him know where he stands in the community.UNDER THE BUS!!!!!fawkin prick.
im just happy we took it home.

Glad you got your rig back. Sorry I wasn't there to help I was too busy taking off the bling bling some one put on my 40 while I was at work.

Glad you had some friends. Do you have anypath to get the title for the 45? We should start a sperate thread and ask how to take care of that.

Ken

Mike,
So what are the plans now that you have the 40 back? Is it going to sit for a bit or are you going to do a full restore now that it will achouly get done instead of some ass-clown holding it?

It is going to sit until I can build a new garage. I think I will rebuild the '71 and this '73 at the same time. I don't want to put any more money in the 45lv until I get a valid title. I am thinking of selling it. This whole title mess is more than I want to deal with right now.
