So your phone will BlueTooth to it so you can do calls, maps, music (read: internet) and everything or is your phone is still connected to your factory infotainment system?
How does the interface work?
If it's anything like mine your phones Bluetooth connects to the vehicle and the unit's carplay connects to your phone. All audio is played through your vehicle including the phone functions.

So the phone (answering/calling) is the only thing that goes through the cars system, everything, e.g.: music, maps, etc is via BlueTooth from the phone?

Yeah, as torque said, phone connects to car as usual and to screen via Bluetooth at same time. That way all audio functions as it would with steering wheel controls and such. You can also hook up the phone via an aux cord to the screen. Now I gotta see if I can play movies and things. Upon first inspection it doesn’t seem like Apple works for that function, maybe only android but I’ll dig deeper.

All audio is played through the bluetooth connection through the factory radio. Including the voice commands / phone calls. Does that make sense?
