In Australia the manual HDJ100 is geared relatively low, so if you are expecting to run at 70MPH I'd be looking at taller diffs. US V8 diffs would drop straight in so you'd have no problems sourcing replacements.
And for info, the Yanmar 6LPA is a marinised, uprated FTE

That’s right, even in Idaho jet boat builders know that the Yanmar is cream of the crop for a turbo diesel jet boat.
