Dude...great shots! When I have a chance to resize, I will post some of my own! From what I hear, they found some trails today that needed a lot of winching...sucks to be us early-goer-homers...

I had a good time up at Royal Blue this weekend. Day 2 was definitely the highlight for me. I know you guys all enjoyed getting to see the Land Cruiser pull the Ford Explorer out of the ruts.

Anyways thanks for the hospitality and letting us Ford guys come along on the ride.

I will post a bunch of pics for you guys later today.

:steer: :steer:

Hey guys, it was good to meet everyone this weekend. I plan to scout all of the trails in that area this spring. Depending on what we find, maybe we could
schedule another club ride for later in the year. I'll keep you posted.

Great to meet everyone! Hate that I was only there on Saturday. Next time the wife won't be so prego........making me a nervous wreck to go off on adventures.

Roger, Todd...saw ya guys on I-640 on my way home from work today. Hope ya made it back safe.

I'm working on the little bit of video I captured Saturday. I'll have it up in a bit...

Andy

Well yawl.......I'm truly sorry about missing this.:whoops:

Between work:mad: & other issues:crybaby: I couldn't have made it if I wanted.

See yawl on the trails...:steer:

Enjoyed meeting and riding with the group. Thanks for letting us hang. We'll do it again.

Nice meeting everyone, spent the afternoon removing my new "racing stripes" with not much luck:bang: and then I came upon these on another forum, oh well a day late and a damnit short. FJC Shields

Roger thanks for weekend
did you get what was under beer can?
thanks to all the other guys also

It was great to see you all and what a turn out, hope we can have more rides like this one.
You all that had to leave early missed the really good trails. Monday we found the trail leading to the old sand quarry area. There is a long steep rock climb to get up to it, then open trails, sand hills and assorted side obstacles. We need another weekend just to explore this area. My dial up connection with wet phone lines does not want to open the pictures this morning will look at them later.

Well to those that left early, I'm sorry, but we did finally find the best trails on Monday. We found a back way into the "Sand Mine" that involved crossing the river, a hell of a nice trail up with ROCKS, lots of ROCKS, and more ROCKS, and then an area at the old sand mine that could keep everyone happy playing for a few days on side trails and rocks.

Roger even got a chance to show off the diesel power by pulling Greg and the Bronco up the steepest part of the rock face after Greg's Quadrajet refused to run on an angle:whoops:

It turns out that if we'd just stayed on the trail we were on Sat. morning, it would have led us directly there...its just several miles past where we turned into the rain forrest

Roger and I did decide that since almost all of the full size stuff we found was on the lower end of the park, it would be best to investigate accomodations closer to Caryville for a return trip. We also never really got a chance to explore "Caryville Mtn" (the way we came out on Sun) as the locals seemed to call it.

Shawn, please post up when you plan to go exploring. If we can work it out, I'd love to take another run up there this spring

Sorry, we didn't take any pics on Monday, none of us had a camera :crybaby:

All in all, my take is that RBWMA is a huge area that with some investment of money and time could really be a class A wheeling area. There are already some good areas, though TWRA seems to have been listening to the ATV crowd and made several formerly full size trails into "ATV" only on the NE side of the park, but that's ok...WSW of I75 seemed much better suited to our needs anyway:grinpimp:
