The Type 093 WMA Small Game Permit is only $16. Unfortunately it runs out on Feb 29. If you normally keep a TWRA hunting/ Fishing License (type 001) the 093 will cover riding for a Whole year ( March 1- Feb 28). For this trip if you are planning on riding 2 days ( and you already have the 001 license) the 093 will be cheaper than 2 day permits. If you are planning on riding much next year the 001 and 093 are only $44.

Excellent. Thanks for the info Rob!

Hopefully there will be 40s x 3 coming up from Knox. Love to meet you guys. Like what your doing. We're semi familiar with the RB area. There is plenty of acerage on both sides of I-75. Mud is thick though especially this time of year.

...
Rob and I will probably head up to the campground Friday afternoon.

Roger,
What time do you want everyone there and ready to head to the trails? Depending on the time, I might need to come up the afternoon before too. The last thing I would want to do is get there late and miss the assembly. Being primarily stock and without a winch, solo exploring does not sound like a good plan for me. Also, how much exploring are you hoping for on Monday?

Thanks

Rob and I plan on getting there around noon on Friday and visiting the TWRA office and seeing what the local area has to offer and finding the closest place to buy permits. People arriving Saturday morning will have to get permits, so we will not be leaving out to early, maybe 10 ish, and that is eastern time. Looks like we will definately have enough rigs to break up into at least a hard core and an easier group. As we are next to the interstate I think we should have cel coverage, my number is 931-841-0672, call me if you are running late.

We (Ashley & I) are also heading up Friday as well.

Our plan is to scout wagon trails mostly through the weekend, we are heading out Monday morning....

Melissa and I will be coming up on Friday. We have a cabin reserved for the weekend. Since it will be close to a 4 hour drive up for us, coming up Friday made more sense for us than rushing up Saturday morning. We will see you there.

guys, i'm in need of a car dolly to tow my :princess: bronco to royal blue. i don't want to rent one but i'd like to either buy a used one or borrow one from a fellow. anybody know where i can get one?

Hey guys, I'm Shawn from Knoxville and am looking forward to meeting up with you guys for the Royal Blue run. A friend (Vic) will be bringing his FJ40 also and possibly another friend will bring his. I haven't been up to Royal Blue in a few years as we mainly ride at Tellico and Windrock. The lady at the campground said that they sell permits and maps. Unfortunately, it didn't sound like the map had any info regarding difficulty level, etc. I'll do some checking and try to come up with some suggestions. There are a lot of trails at Royal Blue but many of them are just one mud hole after another.

Welcome Shawn :flipoff2:...I think you will find that this is a great group of guys!!!

Roger got a place to pitch my tent
will come up fri

marius

Roger will there be place to pitch my tent

Have not been to this campground but the RV spaces are usually large enough for some tents, the site has electricity so bring an extension cord and a small heater.

Maps

In case anyone is interested, I recently found a topo map I used at Royal Blue in the summer of 2006. It has GPS as well as trail ratings. I’ll try to contact the publisher tomorrow about availability.

Unfortunately there's not a website listed on the map. Just an address and email. In the meantime, here’s the contact info:

I’ll also plan to bring it up with me on Saturday morning.

Thanks, let us know what you find out, I would like to order one.

atv's only???

All I've ever found online about Royal Blue was pertaining to ATV trails. Is it for certain there are trails for vehicles other than ATV's? I've been to Windrock and had a great time with minimal challenges, but still a great ride. I just thought it was the only place out that way to ride at the time.
