I have not been but a friend that was there a few monthsw ago said that many of the trails have been opened up to full size. The current problem with Windrock is that some of the better full size trails have been turned into gravel roads for new well construction. Come join us and help us explore.

Map Found

The map of Royal Blue I mentioned in the earlier post has been recently updated and can be found at: The Map Store in Knoxville, TN. Phone# (888)929-6277. Ask for Phoebe or Bud Blackwell. The map's name is the Royal Blue Wildlife Management Map. Cost is $6.95 and can be mailed to you for around $2. They have plenty in stock.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll order one Monday.

I think 10 ish is a realistic goal, by the time we have breakfast and get organized, plus this will give those coming from Knoxville area time to get there.

guys, i'm in need of a car dolly to tow my :princess: bronco to royal blue. i don't want to rent one but i'd like to either buy a used one or borrow one from a fellow. anybody know where i can get one?

Sean, did you find a dolly??? My uncle has a tandem axle trailer I might be able to use if you still need something to transport with...depending on the width of your stance.

no but thanks for offering. i'm bringing my father-n-law's dually and trailer but i just took the driveshaft off the bronco to inspect and it's fawked. found a used one at Hudlow's for $125 so may go that route. BTW, my :princess:bronco is a loud redneck sytle v-8 just for you, no rebel flag tho:lol:

Well atleast its the :princess:'s and not yours... :flipoff2:

Nothing wrong with V-8 American muscle trucks...sold one after I got my cruiser ('98 Chevy Ext Cab)...description of the truck was just for a visual :hillbilly:. I just found it funny that this big 'ol truck couldnt climb what I did in my near stock LC. You KNOW they were :bang:.

Yes Rob is planning on being there and there are a couple of other people from the Nashville area that have said they would attend. This is starting to look like a real event. I am looking forward to meeting some new people and wheeling with all of you.
Thanks to Landcruiserdude I have a good map of the area. I have been told that some of the trails marked ATV only on the map are not mark at the trails, we will talk to the TWRA people on friday.
Here are the additional people I have heard from:
Bob (TPI)
Ron Coons (FJ-62)?
Mrs Clutchee (FJ-80)
Aaron Casity (FJC) ?

As of right now I have a friend in a 4runner driving up with me along with a couple passengers.

Vic and Cruizerdude are the same person and I'm one of the guys he had mentioned (so that takes two off of the list). We still don't know if our other buddy with an FJ40 will be coming or not. Also, I ran into a guy in town this week with an FJ40. He said he might come up also so I told him to check this thread for info.

Hi, Aaron Cassity here, I am more than likely going to come, just to make it clear you can't get any more newb than me. My FJC is pretty much stock and I really don't want to screw it up to bad so if this isn't the ride to be my first, let me know and I'll wait for a good starter ride.

Understandable that one would not want to mess up a brand new ride or his/her daily driver. Might want to check into a project Cruiser (that's how it all starts). Trailwise, Royal Blue has a little bit of everything depending on which part of the park you decide to visit.

Aaron that's part of why it is good to join a club, you can learn from people who have experience. We usually try to take good care of our bros in the wagons, except Clutchee (sorry about the corner:bang:). We're always happy to have new people ride with us.

weather

we are packed, loaded and ready but latest report from nashville news is snow expected friday and saturday, with lows friday night in the single #'s.
rob can tell you that we ole timers have 4 wheeled the worst blizzard in tennessee's history back in 92 or 93 at tracy city. 4-5 foot deep snow in them days.
but we drove there, not trailered. i don't know how my trailer will pull if we have ice or snow.
lets keep our fingers crossed and hope nashville is wrong about the snow and ice predictions.
