Agreed but visuals help plenty especially for my inexperience. If there are resources to help us along I like to get it right the first time. Just sayin.

bigheads truck & the "white rhino" have em, PM them. I was just looking through my Cruise Moab pix, dont seem to have any closeups of Bigheads rig

I installed the manual 100 antenna out of reliability, but I'm tempted to try and re-fit my power antenna. My friend, who was one of the first to put an ARB Combo on the LX also kept his power antenna.

All this talk of snorkel is making me want to order mine sooner then later. Maybe I will get one and post some pics.

P.S. I like the look of both, neither bothers me and if the new one is easy to install it's a no brainer.

If you just want pictures I have one NIB:grinpimp:

Bust out that hole saw and go to town this weekend! I used to be skiddish and reluctant to take apart, drill holes, etc in my LC but now I don't care, let's get work done son!

Why do snorkels go all the way up to the roof line - does that mean you can virtually turn your 100 into a submarine?

not everyone drives a lexus peg.

Anthony, drilling a spotlight into your a-pillar will make you never fear another hole.

The only way water is going to get in the engine is the intake, move that out of the way and you're good. Unless you have a leak somewhere on the head/intake manifold. With trucks like the 100 though, sealing electronics becomes a major factor. I got the snorkel for dust.

Can you post a picture of the fix for a working antenna?

Can Bighead or anyone post pics (closeup if possible) of the indented area?

I'm out of town right now but can get some pics for you guys when I get back. If I remember correctly, Ben or Joe at Slee told me that whatever they did involved sealing a small hole where the indentation was made for the antenna. So I am not sure if they cut or heated the snorkel for the fit. I'd give Ben a call and ask him if it's a burning question for you.

Holy sh*t! How is that possible - compete engine submersion? What about water in the cylinders, or hell the interior?

I believe full engine submersion for a period of time is only possible on diesel. Something about the ignition and fuel system on the diesel makes it more acceptable to being full under water.

I'm also buying the snorkel for dust protection on the dusty summer roads in Eastern WA. I will not be taking it in water up to the hood.

Exactly, the main reason for the snorkel is to keep the intake out of the dust, even the toyota factpry snorkels are not watertight - they are for dusty environments. I would never take a gasser 100/470 in any water above the frame rails. The guys running comps in oz use some gas engines but they make some serious mods and waterproofing to them before they do it.

Snorkels look cool and with the precleaner keep just about all the dust out of the air filter - remove that ram type head and put the cyclonic type on for best results.

I've had mine up to the windshield, but this video only shows just up and over the hood a little about 55-or 59 inches or so.
