Is there a "Best" knuckle rebuild kit, or.... ?

Is there a recommended supplier? Are there any issues with counterfeits? My 345k mile LX450 is due for a refresh.

They come pre-coated with thread locker as well as being a flange nut vs. just a hexagonal nut.

Does anyone have feedback after using one of the knuckle rebuild kits made up of Japanese seals, felts, etc?

Was it (which kit?) comparable to OEM fit and finish?

I've used Sumo the last 5 times, one 40 axle, one 60 axle, and 3x for 80 axles. I can't compare to going OEM but I have no complaints with the Sumo.

Yep Sumo is quality have used them multiple times
With Timken and Koyo bearings. No difference

Doesn't Kurt carry them? Maybe he is the one vendor you were referring to who is out of them?

I helped a buddy with his axle rebuild last year. I can't remember where he had sourced the kit from but it wasn't genuine toyota. Nothing we did could get the the large oil seal on the hub to fit. It was too big by a fraction of a millimeter but too big none the less. Ended up using one of my toyota spares.
All my trucks have had toyota only parts and nothing i have experienced has made me think that anything else is better.
