You're right. Sorry for the suggestion on xj springs or linking the suspension and getting off topic on your build thread with my plans. XJ springs work very well for me without a sway bar but I'm sure your setup will be better.
The XJ springs are probably great, I'm just avoiding any further cutting and welding since I already have my perches in place. Links can be great, but since I'm thinking of selling the little truck, I'm not going to put that much more time into it.

What are the plans if you sell it?

Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine? Daddy Vending Machine?

Oh, I added a new 2nd gen Holley truck avenger 670 and then had it tuned at The Carburetor Shop (literally the shop's name) here locally. They dinked around with it so the floats and everything were properly adjusted and the difference between having the new carb vs the old Q-jet is unreal.
I could never get the Q-jet adjusted properly and the truck was just a dog with it on. It's now an entirely different machine and I can even roast the 37's on dry concrete.
Offroad it was great on the one trip I drove with it installed.

I recentered the 56" chevy spring packs over the last couple of days. The springs just killed drill bits and the whole thing was a pain. I'll get the new springs in sometime next week and rebuild the front packs while I'm at it.

I love my 1/4 eliptical on the 60 ;)
Were, and links have nothing to do with leafs unless you're looking to do some crazy pirate style semi-elliptical monstrosity just to say you did.

why not just ue the centered 52" chevies? they were centered from the factory. There are multiple options for centered leaf springs tho. (kinda after the point but)

Because I'm running 56" springs with a 32/24 offset. The chevy's are 30/26, hence the recenter. If I ran anything shorter or longer I'd have to redo the hangers.

I feel for you, drilling springs is always fun.
