How is parts availability?
I noticed that the driveshafts don't use U-joints, they use CV joints and the axles use Rzeppa (Birfields) joints.

IF you bust a driveshaft CV, you've gotta replace the entire shaft and the parts isn't available in Moab. Whats the chance they are on the shelf at the closest dealership in *checks notes* Salt Lake City vs the truck is going home on a flatbed?

The drive shafts use CV/Rzeppa joints. The entire shaft does not have to be replaced. The replacement joints from Teraflex for the Jeep JL/JT are a direct fit.

The front axle shafts use a double cardan u-joint setup not Birfields.

Using the Terraflex JL joints from Amazon, I rebuilt my front driveshaft after a torn boot at the transfer case.

I wouldn't get red but to each their own. I'd be easier to spot frame damage like cracks and such with any lighter color.

There's a ton of ugly Cruiser colors out there that I don't like but whatever. :meh:

I know, I just find it comical that someone is paying extra for a tacky red custom frame!
It's called "bespoke" you uncultured twit (said in an upper-class British accent)

I'm six months into Grenadier ownership and I drive it more often than either of my land cruisers. It isn't as comfortable as my 200, nor as raw as my 80, but is a goldilocks in between. Other than some dash warning light annoyances, it has been trouble free. Even stock I've had it on some very hard trails and it eats them up.

oil change warning lights? or worse?

oil change warning lights? or worse?
Warning lights for the front mounted camera that sees road signs, emergency braking assist disabled, and the ADAS system.

Sure, also the oil change maintenance reset that requires a dealer visit (no built in or aftermarket reset tool), and the new years bug where almost every grenadier shows a service overdue warning (around 2000 days late).

These lights don't impact anything about the way it operates, but are visually annoying, especially with the warning lights centered in front of the driver.

I can't imagine a Toyota having annoyances like this.

HaHa! 😆 yaaa.... i can, my new tundra would beep the exterior beeper 8 (yes 8) times if you stepped out of the truck while it was running with the keys in your pocket, that'll piss you off REAL quick when you are loading the truck, locking the house door etc. so i found the beeper and disabled it.... permanently
Sounds like you need to find the dash bulbs in question...

I've been experimenting with window tints (fancy version of the old black electrical tape trick).

When I was reading this yesterday I was curious whether my XTOOL D7 would cover Ineos, as it has excellent coverage of makes and models on the market including "exotics". No Ineos however. Pretty unbelievable they do this to an enthusiast type vehicle, especially with the limited dealer network or wanting sales in places like Australia with use in the outback.

I really like these and frankly if they had actually offered a manual transmission option like they said they would originally (the original press releases even show three pedals) I would have bought one last year. Several dads at my kids' school have them and I really like them. One of the dads also has a Gelandeswagon and a Land Rover 110 in his collection and he said he likes the Ineos the most of the three.

Instead I bought a 43 which I'll have more in than the cost of an Ineos. But I'm ok with that.

My wife's Tahoe duramax is about 3 years old now. When it ages out of the fleet I'll give the Ineos another look for her

I really want to like the Ineos and it looks cool for sure.

However, the complete lack of foresight with these annoying sorts of things make me think they're railroading you into having zero alternative but making the pilgrimage to a dealer for something as mundane as resetting a light. That's a bridge too far for me. This is assuming it's a bug and not a feature.

The CEO did an interview with the people who host the Grenadier Forum and it is published as a podcast. She said they're working with an aftermarket supplier (Autel, I think) to develop a code reader/reset tool.

Crickets on the driveshaft though

Is that a known problem? I’m lost on that. Flex disc or something stupid?
Yes. Front drive shaft has bad CV angles causing overheating and boot failures at the diff. Any lift seems to make it worse. I replaced my joints at 27k miles. My boot had completely torn open and the joint was crunchy and ready to eject itself.
