Market or not. Doesn't matter when legislation says i can't buy a new internal combustion vehicle in my state in a ten years.
Hopefully I can skirt that through the business somehow. Right now EV's are essentially useless for me, and useless when it's cold.

I would like to see an actual hybrid. But Edison is the only one doing it, and there's no signs of the consumer grade vehicle manufactures going that route.

I'd like to think that silly "law" will be overturned as it's far beyond overreach.

I mean, yeah. I'd love to hear about your experiences. As my LC ages, options for a truly capable vehicle for remote driving seem to be pretty narrow.

I switched from Toyota to Ineos so if anyone here has questions about The Grenadier just ask.
Lay it on us, would like to hear the comparison

And no one is going to outlaw ICE engines for commerical work before hybrid/elec can step in for a 1 for 1 replacement.

What about non commercial use? Minnesota is banning internal combustion engines. The faux hybrids like the prius won't even be an option. Which none of which matters, because lithium batteries have crazy voltage sag when they get cold.

What if I want to load up a couple of old Toyotas and put them on a trailer and drag it half way across the continent? Not an option any more?

What if I want to put a tractor on a trailer and pull it five miles to mow pasture? No good?

Ford can't build a pickup that can go for more than a couple of oil changes without a trip to the dealership for repair, so i won't own one outside of the warranty. So where does that leave me? Am I supposed to find new hobbies or pursuits because of overreaching legislation built on nonsense, lies, and failed tech? All because I am not allowed to purchase a new pickup? 🤣

The only other viable option I've come up with is buying a surplus M1078, (making it a twinge more civilized by adding heat, AC, seats that are lawn furniture, and regearing it), and using that as a tow pig until I die.

MN is too busy importing Somalis and the fallout from that to ban ICE trucks

No way commerical trucks/tractors are gonna go full EV in the next decade

However, without getting too poli.......nothing just happens via some invisible boogyman.....no 'state' can ban or change or mandate anything....its your human representatives that make those decisions

'we' will reap what we sow

move... period

There's actually a company just down the road from me that does just that (maybe a bit more extensively). Pretty cool operation, I toured their shop a couple of years ago: Acela Truck Company | Rugged Trucks for Tough Jobs - https://www.acelatruck.com/

I have had a 2024 Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster for a while now...and looking to possibly replace with a Quartermaster next year. I have loved it.... now that software updates are out and installed....and I have done some minor upgrades...it is a great vehicle and reminds me of my old 60 series to be honest......and what I suspect a new 70 series would be like though Ineos is more comfortable and capable in my opinion. Since Toyota has never sold 70 series here new.....Ineos has my money now. I have added rock sliders, new steering stabilizer shock, rear storage drawer system, USB charging ports, overhead storage, mount for magnetic cell phone holder, under seat gun vault....and few other things. Gonna hold off on more upgrades until I get Quartermaster and make it my own.... After having Tundra since I sold my 100 Series....have gotten used to having that truck bed.....especially if dog gets into a skunk or nasty rotten mud or something while out hunting and I can put her in kennel in bed without having to smell her on way home myself. LOL

Thank you. Super helpful. Out of curiosity, what kept you from upgrading the suspension before you decided on the QM route?

There’s quite a few INEOS that have been lifted. Check them out on YouTube, especially those from specialty INEOS aftermarket manufacturers.

my biggest critique of this truck is the frame color. I just don't think painting the frame red makes the truck look super custom or cool. IMHO

I think it's an option but I would not opt for it! :)
