I guess I kind of get the concept, but like, what are you supposed to put on the side rails? I don’t get it. I like that the option is there, but I don’t know what would go on the side like that
here are some accessories:

Those are there just in case these are used by SWAT teams. Up to four SWAT guys can ride on the outside clinging to the grab rails and standing on the running boards.

I also imagine detachable pinstripe guards could be added.

The exterior belt system is optional as well.

Website says bmw engines in these trucks. Who makes the trannys?

It's mildly intriguing for myself. It's a generic miss in terms of styling, the front end kills it. I wouldn't want to be an early adopter. I'd honestly rather have a Gladiator on 37's+ than this any day of the week.
I agree, that front end is butt-ugly. I also am not an early adopter, I had bad luck being that guy when it came to subcompact pistols, not gonna try it with automobiles. Id pick up a 1 or two year old Bronco Black Diamond for $40k and be done with it, and I can take the top and doors off that and have a blast.

I put down a deposit when the started preorders. I was told they will publish all repair manuals for free and are working to ensure plenty of parts availability.

The engine is the well tested BMW B58, axles are from a well known tractor company (Carraro) and a ZF transmission. They also have Bosch repair shops servicing them.

Ineos is committed to multiple models, including trucks and EVs.

I'll keep the cruiser, but am excited for when I can eventually take delivery of mine. Hopefully next year.
Well the B58 is def an awesome motor
