Illuminated HID & FOG Switches

I have one of those already but prefer an illuminated switch with an indicator light. If worse comes to worse, I can pick up one of those and throw it in there.

You can still get the illuminated vertical rocker foglight switch from Toyota, part number 84160-28010. It's the switch in post #1 of this thread:

https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/88916-toyota-fog-light-switch.html

You have to go to post #90 to get the correct part number (the one above is the correct number). I bought one from CDan last year but haven't installed it yet.

So can you get me two (2) Illuminated Switches with connectors now? :)

Sheldon,

FWIW, I've found three swithes that had connectors attached and found two of them to have the 5-digit numbers.

You (I) learn something new everyday!

Thanks again!

By the way those photos of the connector number locations are really nice.

The wire repair book has a chart that identifies the proper wire splices even if the connector body is not serviced.

You do realize that just looking out through the wind shield would allow you to determine if the lights are on, right. :D

Only at night lol

In the day, I can't tell if any of my lights are on :meh:

And thats with 1200 watts of extra beams on the roof and bumper

I have my switches on the center console and my dog managed to step on one :o

Didn't know I was blinding all the folks behind me until one guy passed by giving me the 1 finger salute

Can't see the switches on the dash with all those damn lights on...need all the illumination I can get....!! :)

Cool. Both 90980-10799 and 90980-10996 show available in too.
82998-12340 is the terminal/lead number
If you really want to pimp your plug... the leads are available in with gold plated terminals
82998-12360

Gold plated terminals, lol!!
I'll tell people they're gold plated because they won't be able to see them! :hillbilly:

Thanks for the PN's, again!

Rich,

I went to Toyota Parts today (twice) and chatted with one of the gals working there for a long time. She tried to help me and it was looking promising.

But in the end, she told me the same old story of me needing to provide the vehicle info. (VIN #, yada, yada...).

So I checked the connectors of all of the switches in my rig since I conveniently had the whole dash (and some) removed for my LED project (which has been taking forever!)

I could not find the same shape/type connector for the first two switches (identical), but I've confirmed the third/bottom switche's connector looking identical to the rear defrost switch, as mentioned by lndcruz (Thanks!).

I've also located a couple of switches (used) that I believe have the same connectors as the first two switches online. I thought about asking the seller if there's the five-digit number(s), but I kind of doubt it's there (The connector having to be so small). But I guess you'll never know.

If the number is either not there or he's not willing to give it to me (I won't blame him) then I'll just buy the switches with the connectors and let you have the connectors.

So, if you still want two of the vertical switches (third/last pic), with the matching connectors, let me know! (I'm sure you do though!)

Thanks for your patience, Rich, and the rest of you for your input and comments!

I think I already have one of those ... she is more like a backseat driver though...put on your seat belt, slow down, why are you talking on the cell phone while you are driving, stop answering e-mail while you are driving, this truck uses a lot of gas, must you have leather seats...dead animal hides are gross, and it goes on an on.

what you need is a co-pilot :)

Yes, I want them and the connectors. Just send me a PM with a total and I will send you a PayPal payment right away.

Thanks..:)

explain to her that you got the Landtank seat extenders for more "head room" and expect them to be used as such.

Rich,

I have acquired the vertical switches and some connectors today.

I have not had time to look at them yet to verify their fitment, but will try to do that sometime soon, I HOPE!! :hillbilly:

I was going to check them out, but my wife musta put them away somewhere!!! (And she's in bed!!!)

I've looked at the usual places, but could not find them!!

Don't you hate it when they put our stuff away, thinking they're doing us a favor by keeping them nice and organized, but it's just the opposite!!!

Stay tuned!

Antenna switch's connector happens to be the same as another fog light switch.

Can't recall which one of the 80's switch's back looked identical to this (Maybe the hazzard switch?), but found it to be what I needed for this switch for '90-'94 80.
