Why OH why cant we get these HERE???
Go down and bug every Yota dealer in this country..tell them WE WANT THESE !!!!
They don't care, can't get 'em. Lots of other threads explain why.

You have three options for a LHD:
1 - Move to Middle East, buy one and stay there ($70,000)
2 - Vacation in Middle East, buy one and store it for 25 years, then import it to USA ($70,000 plus annual storage x 25 + import costs)
3 - Buy this frame-off, restored BJ74 https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/bj...nversion-very-nice.828062/page-3#post-9551688 ($35,000)

4 - Get a cush job as a Diplomat and bring one home when the posting ends.

For sure.

Gibralter would be the only one I'd consider.

I think I'll just keep my 1985 and 1987 and stay in the Confederacy.

If you are in the Confederacy, then I am still part of the Hudson Bay Company's trapping franchise - also known as the "Columbia District" by the British (the Oregon Territory in USA). I live in the vicinity of the "A" in "Disputed Area" below - well south of the 40th Parallel.

Tech Post:
The good news is that were that the case, I would be able to legally import and drive 15 year old JDM HZ76 units......hmmmm 2015 - 15 = model year diesel 2000 Landcruiser (AKA Creampuff).

another option it you to come down here .. buy it and I will keep it safe and clean when you are making more money up there .. you can fly down here and drive whenever you want .. :D

What a pal....

I wonder if Toyota Mexico would add them to the commercial vehicle line up. They have Hiaces and Hiluxs. I have a home in Mexico....:hmm:

Drive it back and forth once a year.....Presto.

Buy a newer nice offshore truck.
Take body off chassis.
Remove fuel tank.
Load new body into container and import shell.

Take importable older truck, meld into one legal truck.

So simple. Just costs dough.

You're good to go....but you have to work for John Kerry (aka JFK2 or Swifty) - it coulda been Hillary

Yeah, every job has drawbacks ..... That would be a big one for me.

I'll stick with Charles and keep my Confederate money crisp. Heck, I live in a state where secession is still legal per the State Constitution :hillbilly:

Tech: got waved down twice to be asked questions about my "cool Jeep" on the way home tonight ....

Well ... I was coming back from the shop that did the "exploratory surgery" on my transfer case where it was found I caught the issue soon enough that it was a $ expense vs a $$$$ expanse ;)

And the shop owners (who are Cruiser guys) were asking how they could join the "cool" crowd. I pointed them towards a certain LHD BJ-74
