It goes without saying, this is a very special vehicle. I actually tried to purchase it many years ago, I was willing to leverage my underwear but it was too steep. So I acquired it and upon acquisition drove it 1,000 miles home, what a trip it was. At this point in my life I must choose wisely what I keep. What I really want is an HZJ75 Pickup, man would I love to have one! Any questions feel free to ask, I've loved this truck since first seeing it. I have owned FJ40, 45, 80, 470. Another tan 64 FJ45 went for sale recently, I owned that one too. I'm very excited to have found this forum and look forward to learning much and contributing anything I can offer. L

Well that's certainly clear. I feel as though I purchased at a bargain price considering this vehicle sold after restoration for $139,500. If in fact there were any interested parties I actually have a DVD I'd be happy to send containing the extensive work completed. Rather than bore everyone I assumed that the discerning prospect would much prefer to visit and enjoy a personal seat audition? This vehicle was given its second life in Gilroy Ca. Custom Cruiser FJ40 I believe? I'm happy to provide the name when I return home and have access to this information. I have never purchased a vehicle from description alone, I've always flown to the vehicle to verify it's existence and quality beneath my very own eyes. I can't imagine buying something based on another's review, maybe it's just me? Thank you for the clear information. I'm excited to see some of the concourse entries priced at or near this truck, please provide details where they can be reviewed. Believe me when I say I'm shocked at the priced, I'm sure you all witnessed the FJ45LV finished in blue that just hammered down at $198K? I was floored to say the least. I'll just take a deep breath and take my lumps, still super happy to be here with all of you, L.

Astute observations. These are the same photos that inspired me to purchase airfare and visit up close and personal. In addition, I think these photos are superior to any that I might take, TBD. I will take some photos tomorrow and let all of you be the judge, if there are specific photos that are of greater interest please make your request known. While I'm not the computer professional I am rather enjoying this so I'll do my best to include a video. I would never dream of asking every skeptic here to trust me, I wouldn't trust anyone on the planet with huge sums of money. I simply recognized something that I always wanted to own and pulled the trigger, my goal was never to own this forever but to have owned it and enjoyed it and pass such a rare vehicle on so someone else can enjoy it. Thank you all for your input.. At least I'm getting to know all of you, L.

Here my $78k fzj80 which im letting go for $43k previously owned by Donald Trump and is in his words......"the finest built 80 that some say is the absolute finest built 80 ever built!" Has a few dings as The Donald wheeled this hard and in his words.... " I wheeled this so hard my hairpiece came loose".

That's quite an FJ80 you have there. I would never place a value on another mans cruiser so best of luck with the sale. If I hear of anyone looking for a rig such as yours I will let them know of this one. The only other thing I would like to know is the ride quality of the Toyo M/T tires? I have owned several sets for the superduties and the ride quality was always favorable. How do they do in the heavy ply rating on a vehicle that doesn't carry heavy loads. When running empty I always had to lower the rear pressures to balance the ride quality.

Dude, those are iPhone pics at best, anyone trying to sell a Rig that expensive should be able to afford a professional photographer for an hour, which would really put it into another category. Just my Opinion

Good luck

Don't look now DesertEmu, that was a comment and it was negative. I'm probably most surprised by the 740 views since posted, I guess its like a big breasted woman with a glass eye, hard to not look no? I have enjoyed my time here so far, I can't wait until I am more familiar with this sight and I can pour over all of your perfect cruisers. But being serious, why hasn't anyone taken the time to write a list of what is acceptable when posting a vehicle? If we knew that owning a landcruiser isn't quite that simple I could better respect your page. Because I want so badly to be a part of this community can I request pictures of your rig with build specs so that I might better understand exactly what it means to be a "Cruiser" enthusiast?

The motive behind criticism determines its validity! Either you care and want to teach me or your envious and need to learn? I'll just leave that right there for you to let me know, I'm willing to learn But I'm also willing to teach!

Not sure why the canadians talk trash? ( just a couple of you,you know who you are)If its not your cup of tea, move on? Why the negativity? Probably cause your rigs rust beyond repair? Leroy, dont worry about the few haters here, its a solid community, cheers, and glws!

Looks amazing! Definitely will have one like this on my wish list. Good luck with the sale. - Justin

I have had to step in and say this before. I am not an authority on these, but I hate it when guys just jump on someone or their rig. There is a market for these Landcruisers. As owners, we are proud to invest our time and money and thankfully, some people are willing to pay for them. It is the huuuge benefit of a Landcruiser over a jeep. You can pour money into a jeep and never see it. Thank goodness there is a market for what most of us do as a hobby. It is not a sin when someone makes a profit. Most of us can look at a rig and know if the value is there. It looks like Leroy has an incredible truck. I am not one to question his profit motive. The price seems pretty fair for what is there. We all share a love for these rigs...why not support him in his kindred intrest???? Lets continue to have this forum be one of support for a similar interest. Now, I think I am going to go out to my garage and bust a knuckle.....have a great one!

This guy joined the forum on Thursday and listed his truck for sale the following day.

What "kindred interest" are you suggesting we support?

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the same kindred spirit you had May, 13th 2013? Then again, perhaps he's referring to the kindred spirit of a man who worked a career to it's potential solely for the purpose of celebrating a hobby in a way few people can?

Step back for a moment, your misplaced enthusiasm isn't forum building, however, it is character revealing.
