Hmmm the guts may be the same as 40 tail lights or tag lights. Single wire? Or even the turn signals out of rear 55 TL’s.so checked out bulbs before going much further, front light in grill are missing guts, anybody know where I can get internal parts for these lights, should look like second pic when done

Hi @Pigeaten . I don't know what I'm doing down here, but keep finding myself in the pigpen. I noticed you're master cylinder looks like one out of an 80 series. I need to upgrade the single circuit brakes in a new to me '69 FJ40. I like the newer aluminum body single reservoir compact units like you used. I have a couple questions for you, hoping you have answers.View attachment 2813975View attachment 2813977View attachment 2813980
new tires and wheels, new carb, truck stance looks better
Get yourself some (at least) front disc brakes. Fighting front drums is a nightmareHi @Pigeaten . I don't know what I'm doing down here, but keep finding myself in the pigpen. 1. Do you know what vehicle that master cylinder was intended for?
2. Do you have drums front/rear on this truck still? If not, did you ever operate this truck with drums/drums with this master cylinder? I'm thinking I could get away with a 10lb residual pressure valve on the front circuit and keep my front drums since this is likely a disc/drum master.
Looks like a great truck found the right home.
Gonna f with it first. Bought truck with a matching pair of late late model 40 axles (front discs and rear drums with integrated e-brake). When I swapped the OEM wheels onto her, I popped off the drums and everything inside looks brand new at all 4 corners. I just want to put a dual circuit master on it and enjoy it and I hate the look of the proper drum/drum master. yes - I will buy a brake master cylinder based on looksGet yourself some (at least) front disc brakes. Did you get a turn signal switch? I bought a couple on eBay for my 1969 thinking I could piece together the broken ones to make one good one. No such luck. I ended up buying a NOS from Binmahmoodstores in Yemen for $270…ouch. He has multiple NOS turn signal switches if you still need one.also contacted specter about new turn signal switch, sent pics, they are scratching their heads. but realize i know someone who hoards 55s, he has an extra 69 steering column with switch-fingers crossed
