When and where is the welcome run?

Hey Murphy, the color matching bumpers are really ugly....I'll be glad to take them off your hands......:flipoff2:

Murph - Congrats man! All's well that ends well!!!! Have a safe trip back from Texas and enjoy getting to know your cruiser!!!!

Actually sdnative posted the link on 8/4. I fly out this afternoon.:grinpimp:

I hate you :flipoff2:. Wow, you got such a great deal on that truck. The guy probably has close to 6k in mods alone. Not including the cost to install them and the maintenance on the rig. This is such a better way to go then the 10k stock one. I am very happy for you and hella jealous at the same time.

Well, I'm sitting in the Hotel downtown San Antonio. The PO is picking me up with the cruiser then taking me to his shop. He wants to have them do one last oil change before I hit the road.....I love this guy:bounce:

I had the mechanic for the local cruiser club here do a pre-inspection. As expected, everything checks out.

I hope to be on the road my 10am headed back to Romoland.:steer:

Great.

I just saw this thread. If you hadn't bought the truck in SA, I was going to suggest you pass on the 10K stocker. That guy's an idiot, he's going to end up owning that truck for some time to come, and when the market goes down even further, he'll eventually have to give it away. I have seen this many times (car dealer here).

I think what you did was very smart. Wait, bide your time, and the good deal came along. The truck you bought was an excellent deal. Sure, a few more miles, but who cares? It's an excellent value with thousands in upgrades.

FYI, at the Manheim dealer auction site, the 95-97 cruisers with similiar miles are bringing anywhere from $4500 to $6500, depending upon condition and color. That's wholesale value, nationwide.

Good luck!

Dana

Murph - send the idiot with the 10K stocker a link to what you did purchase and it's price...just to let him know he's WAY OUT in left field on his price! hehehe

Well, I made it back! I drove it straight thru...1200+ miles in 20 hrs. Got her all washed up and did another quick oil change. She needs a slight front end alignment...pulls right. I will get this done this week.
