5th is added on in the split case, long way away from the main cluster, little cog too at that compared to the main cluster. Weak link for sure. So if you do plan heavy towing, be prepared to go a bit slower.

Look up 'never tow in overdrive', or similar or the numerous posts on mud about towing with the h55f. It is not really a towing gear box. yeah, me too, just stay in 4th good rule of thumbI've done a bit of towing with my H55F, stuck to 4th gear on everything except the dead flat ground under 1/4 throttle.
