yes, it works on the 70 sereis
yes, it is a TEMP fix
going under the PTO could cause a siphon effect so go level out and around it
or
if you can not do it that way
then fix the issue.
 
not that i know of, i have thought of trying to find a double lipped seal but never own a truck long enough to really care.
 
Trying to track down this double-lip seal as I'll be dropping the tranny to do a clutch. My 86' 3b H55f sucks oil from xfer case into tranny. Here is the seal I got from SOR and then just tonight read about the upgraded seal. I'd like to do this right the first time I have the tranny down. Pictured is my seal from SOR (only has 1 spring), here is the seal info I gleaned from other threads, #BW3386E MFG by NOK MAF but no joy finding it online. Any input? Thank you.

The Toyota Seal, according to ToyoDIY, is part number 90311-48008. I would imagine that if its available, Onur @beno or Dan @cruiserdan can probably source it for you.
