Kevin - you'll spend 3 hours BS'ing! Add that to the 5-7 and that's the normal 10 hours. But how much time do we allow for getting lost?

The town of Oracle Chad! We're running from Oracle to Catalina. The first post has a map to the Circle K in Oracle.

:doh::whoops:
Got it! Ok, so I'm not paying attention half the time! :grinpimp: I just assumed South to North since that's the only way I've ever run it! It'll be nice to run backwards!
Later,
Chad

Last year we got the 'getting lost' part out of the way at the meet in Phoenix prior to caravanning to Oracle. :D

That's why I said w/Phil, you and I, it wouldn't be done 'till midnight!

Howdy! Maybe means to run it in "reverse" just to make it bit of a challenge. John

Oh, you guys are funny! ...I run all the obstacles both ways, up and down!:grinpimp:...time permitting of course. ...I guess I could run them in reverse, never occurred to me to try though, I can probably back up most obstacles except the bump dump, not enough weight in the back to get traction... maybe if I had a front locker! (have an Aussie locker sitting here on my desk, just need to order the Longs to go along with it! :grinpimp:) Ok, that's all the smack I'm going to throw down today.
 :D

See you all tomorrow.

Hi - I saw your forum today & I would like to come along if you think my 08 Tacoma can make it.

My Tacoma has a rear locker but is not lifted yet. I could meet you at the Circle K let y'all decide if I could try it.

I went up to Rice Peak on Monday (well almost up to - I stopped at 6925 Ft) and there was not a lot of snow on the trails.

It is bright & sunny in Mammoth today.

Steve

Your Taco will do just fine. Some care will need to be taken in a few spots. You'll have fun!

:whoops: I meant to post this earlier. Rob and I are meeting at Circle K on AZ Ave south of 202. Want to be rolling south before 6:30am. IIRC last time there was some confusion as to which store, or it wasn't where the map said, so I called and it's at Germann and AZ ave, just south of 202.

Circle K: 480-963-3733
18649 S Arizona Ave
Chandler AZ 85248

Hey guys/gals, Just wanted to throw out a big Thank You to everyone that was out there today! Alvin, thanks for putting this together, I know what a hassle it can sometimes be to be "the guy in charge", so Thanks! Everyone, thanks for making us "mini-truck" guys welcome! We had a great time. Not sure if Sam is on here, but I was talking to him after and he and his wife both had a great time! It was really nice meeting everyone! ...nice to put a face to the name. Now... ya'll that had cameras, post them pics up! :D
Later,
Chad

WOW! What a phenomenal turnout! We had 17 rigs of all kinds of Toyotas best. We had 100's, 80's, 40's FJC's, Tacoma's, 4 runners and mini's. It was great! Thank you to everyone who came out. This is a long trail anyway and when you put a large group on it, it can take some time. Thanks everyone for having patience.

I want to give a big, special thanks to John and Becky Shotts for leading out the large group while the rest of us got Chris moving again. That was real cool of you John!

Chad, you and Sam are always welcome on our runs. Just check in here and see whats going on. After all, you do drive Toyotas.
We got to the end of the trail just before 7pm. The Phoenix folks headed toward a mexican resteraunt in Catalina and we headed home.

So, two years in a row, I got a flat on the Gap run. Tore a sidewall both times. Hmmmm...

What a blast! Thanks again and post up some pics!

Thanks

Thanks for letting the lone 4Runner join your group today. It was a great run. I had forgotten how challenging the Gap can be. I think I pushed my poor lttile 4Runner to it's limit. :crybaby: I loved watching the mini trucks walk over anything they wanted to.

Most of the day I felt like I was following a large herd of 80 Series Elephants.:steer: Impressive rigs.

Thanks agin for the invite. It was great meeting everyone.

Here are few pics I got of the run today.
