Could always modify the SleeSB by adding a fabbed plate to cover the winch setup, even aluminum? (Crime can be bad here in Houston too, it's on my list of things to do in order to keep things mine after purchasing.)

The BumpItOff bumper looks to be easier to modify as you just need a plate to lay across the top, can be secured with cam locks.

I think that the ARB conceals the winch out of sight?

As far as the AV freak part goes, i wanted to ask you how the cameras are holding up...I'm looking to get a "inexpensive" reverse cam off Amazon and wanted your input.

All are cheap EBay cameras and I have yet to have one fail on me :)

Even the one that got smashed and fill with water still worked until I replaced it lol

Are you always filming?

The system runs 24/7 and records using motion detection

Good thing it didn't go into the far right lane and take out the guy on the bike.
Perfect time to build yourself a damage multiplier.

Are you a LEO? I assume that's why you were recording...it appears as though you flipped some rooftop flashers when you came to a stop. The pick-up that sent it into you ALMOST cleared it, but he did the right thing...he couldn't swerve too much or go much more left w/o endangering the lane beside him. Almost averted but altogether not a horrible outcome. How long was it pinballing through traffic?

glad you came out OK
doesn't look too bad actually, comparatively speaking

Was there a person riding in the back cargo area of that pickup, I couldnt tell in the video...

For a minute I thought that a person in the rear of the pickup was going to throw the freezer into the road...:D

Nope, just an AV freak ;)

I actually install mobile surveillance systems on City buses and State official vehicles as a side gig, so it was only natural to setup my personal vehicle as well

I got a bunch of Whelen strobe kits and LED light bars from Disney's security fleet when they turned their vehicles in for lease :grinpimp:

Installed a set and use it whenever I'm working out in the field or any time you would otherwise use the hazards

I did see it a few seconds before it got tagged by the Ranger, but to be honest, I didn't think much of it until the actual hit :meh:

I just figured it was a cardboard box or sumthin

Reason #1000 why I have 2 Landcruisers, and will continue to buy the fuel for them.
I will show this video to anyone who tells me I should be driving a Civic....

Happy you are ok, and the rig didn't sustain too much damage.

at least it wasn't full of frozen meat or something. about the best outcome you could hope for when hitting an appliance on the highway

Dang, bummer about the accident. But also glad the damage was minimal and no one was hurt. As for the bumper, i'm sure most (or probably all) of us have seen your awesome fab abilities. Why don't you whip something awesome together, that way it has everything you want and will be unique. Could be a fun project :)

Can you please tell me more about your cam setup?

Cheap EBay cameras (front/rear/sides) and a mini DVR hidden in the glove box :)

Runs 24/7 (even with the vehicle off) and records by motion detection, so it's not just recording useless footage

X2 and why wife drive ones too .. with front and rear bumpers .. :D

WHOA!!

As others have already said, I am glad that nobody was hurt.

I can only imagine what could have happened if it came shooting up toward the windshield! :shiver:

Accidents happen way too fast and there is nothing you can do about it when it happens that quickly!

Count your blessings, eh?

When I read the title I instantly thought Wth drives with a dash cam....then it hit me....98 Snake eater :)

Glad you were able to drive off after this. Hope it all works out for u.
