Help find build w/frame bolted not riveted

Any update on how the rivet removal and reassembly of the frame went?

Hot rivets expand and lock in place as they cool (if you read up on such things), which is why they are so hard to remove. Bolts/nuts won't ever be able to do that. I'm not saying that removing rivets to service the frame is bad, it's just that you should know the mechanics of how Mr. T designed and built the chassis from the outset.

This is partially correct. As we all know, metal expands when it gets hot, and shrinks when it cools. The ultimate clamping force of the hot rivet relies on its contraction/shrinking while cooling to draw the attached metal pieces tightly together.

Haven't followed this thread, one thing I would have done different is with the frame apart replaced the torque tube with one that arched in the location of the Brake drum on the back of the transfer case.
