Hi Mud.
I’ve got a 1998 with 205,000 miles. A week after doing my timing belt and water pump, my LC has developed a squeak and groaning sound when turning the wheel side to side coming from the front driver side. Even when parked. It also appears when going over speed humps. I jacked up the front end and the driver side wheel does seem to have some 12-6 play. (Wheel bearing?) the upper control arm ball joint is torn and I tired the spray silicone test on one component at a time with all the ball joints and bushings to no avail. I don’t see an obvious culprit, the only thing I see moving (apart from the wheel) when I do the 12-6 test is the CV axle. Any direction would be greatly appreciated! Here’s a video of the sound while parked and turning the wheel. Video of the squeaking
Thanks everyone for your time.
