I just programmed a new key FOB / transmitter for my 2013 LX using the launch.

Get to this screen. Some users reported getting into an endless loop of only OBD2 scanner function and not being able to change settings. If you select Auto Detect or let it do it's thing this will happen.

I selected Lexus (do not select AutoDetect)

My truck does not have radar cruise so I selected Others (not sure it matters though)

It correctly scanned my VIN and identified my vehicle

Touch existing key to ignition. You will hear a double beep.

Touch new key to ignition. You will hear one beep, then another one or two beeps shortly after.

I let this time out since I didn't have any more keys

I bought the FOB / transmitter (89904-60A00) at my local Toyota dealer (yes they sold a Lexus part) for ~$125 (15% off sale). I bought the metal key (69515-50260) at my local Lexus dealer and had it cut using my VIN for ~$63 (included both key and having it cut). So under $200 all in.

Thanks for posting. I have a brand new key waiting to try this.

Ok thanks to @sdnative instructions and @Boston Mangler with the heavy lifting I successfully coded my new key. Did not need a PIN code. The menu was in different spot but we found it. For reference my truck is a 1/19 build date. I am at the local Penske Toyota dealer and they are cutting the key shank for $60. Rather productive morning thanks all!

Correction: the key is already cut! Looks like the cpo dealer I bought the truck from already had the key cut according to the vin. Free 99 thank you very much

Glad we finally knocked this out man! 👍🏼

Anyone know why it looks like this is unavailable on Amazon? Permanent or temporary? Share a good link if you have one!

Thanks @gaijin ! Ordered and excited to start playing. I don't suppose anyone has found if you can adjust the speedometer/odometer/mpg/etc. for larger tires?

Can you post up where in the menu you found this? I have a 2021 and haven't found it yet. Thanks!

Gosh all I remember is that it wasn’t in the same spot as @sdnative truck and it took me a good 10 minutes of searching before I found it. I think I had to exit and go back to the main screen and clicked one of the other options. From there I found either keyless entry or smart key and the rest of the steps wire identical.
