Would it be that much easier to only patch the front portion?

Wonder if butting them up would be structurally sound?

Sacrilege, but wonder what the 70 signals would look like on a Pig?

I've got some if you want them. They're chrome and I'm not going to use them.

I could also overlap the patch, but the butt weld should be fine.

Got my old Front Runner rack on the pig. The rack started off on my 100, then my diesel 80, and now the pig. It's surprising how wide the pig is compared to the 80.

Looks good David. Watch that gutter, it's a bad rust area for pigs. Maybe add another set of clamps, if you're planning to haul stuff on it.

I'm planning on building a rack for mine and I have four sets of clamps. Thinking about buying another set, just to spread the weight out.

You've got a nice looking wagon!

it needs a diesel.....

LOL! The Silverado seats are way tall! I guess I'll install something else.

You can have them if you can find/get me some 80 series seats :)

Local brought an 80 manual seat by and it posed greater challenges than the Ford seats I'd been looking at.

May work on the frame. I can't say, as I don't have one. :)

How about some pimp red-piped buckets?

Only if your planning on steering with the boys

Should allow for easier multitasking....

I know, I just want to keep the existing brackets and the rear heater. Why? I don't know.

Keeping the heater has been my dilemma. About the only way I can see to relocating to the center if mounting seats direct to floor.....or using an 80 rear heater under the PS.

Thank you, sir. I wish I was in town to wrench. I'm down in Houston visiting family.

I did source an OM617 turbo diesel and the 4x4 labs adapter is on order.

I finally got the adapter from Luke last week. Looks pretty sweet. I'm trying to line up some shop space at my buddy's place to get going on the OM617 swap.

Luke threw in some engine side mounts that will give me a good base to work off of.

I also swapped in some Mustang seats I got off of craigslist. They are definitely more comfy than the old ragged out bench seat.

Since I was stuck at home, I started working on the non-functional tailgate window. First, I had to remove some of the horrible diamond plate that was binding up the tailgate. Looks like I'm going to have to weld in some new metal.

Check out how they kept the window from rolling down. Sheet metal screws from hell!

The old gear was sheared and had to come out. See the nice new brass gear? Very stout and nicely machined.

Some fresh grease and it's ready to go back into the tailgate.
