My cousin will be in town and this would be a pretty cool thing to bring him to. If I can convince him, we'll be there.

Does this HAMOM need a squirrel fan? :D

My cousin will be in town and this would be a pretty cool thing to bring him to. If I can convince him, we'll be there.

Turns out my cousin doesn't get in town until 3:30pm, so I'm going to try to be there in the AM beforehand.

Looking forward to seeing everybody on Saturday and thanks so much for the anticipated help.

I've been out of town all week so sorry for some of the delays in responses.

Yes, I have a squirrel fan and a window unit AC. They do a decent job of getting the garage temps about 10F cooler than outside but don't expect mid 60s while turning wrenches.

With the amount of help currently slated to come (7 or 8) we are now hoping to install 2 lift kits on old Land Cruisers. Double the FUN!

In addition to my 84 60, we plan to also do Eric Forrest's 70. Not sure yet, but it may may sense to work on one until done and then the other. We may also decide that splitting into two teams and working simultaneously makes more sense to wrap both jobs up sooner. As captain of Team 60, I get to pick team members first OK.

In the event we do both lifts at the same time, we will need (4) more lift stands and another longer air line possibly to avoid having to move the compressor back and forth.

I'll be in the garage about 8a but I don't expect to see the entire cast of characters until closer to 9:30 or 10a.

Again, wives, kids, and dogs (that don't eat Whippets) are all welcome. Note- if the wives decide to run out or go have fun at the Seagrove potters, kids are welcome to stay behind but I would like them to play outside in the woods instead of in the house or in the garage around lifted vehicles.

We'll plan on cooking hotdogs around 2p even if we are not completely done by then.

Parking may be a little tight for everyone to ALL be up near the house. With Dave R bringing most of the support tools, plz make sure we leave him a spot up near the garage.

See you on Saturday and drop me a note if ?'s pop up.

I have every tool known to man. Anyone need me to bring anything?

Oh yeah, Mike, I'll be there. Lol

Dave, I have a compressor to run your impact wrench but I have very few 1/2" sockets compared to my 3/8" collection. I have a few 12" or breaker bars and 2 that nest inside each other for almost 24" of leverage. A total of 3 floor jacks (1 big and 2 small ones) and an electric grinder. If you have a small die grinder that fits in smaller crannies, please bring it too.

Depends on how many signup but may consider doing the dizzy recurve too. I haven't bought the springs and other parts yet but would love your expertise since you've done it before.

No need for a compressor, I'll bring my snap on battery impacts. I promise they will keep up.

I can bring extra jack stands if we need them!!

I will as well. Mike, Johnny, everybody...does anybody have some big, sturdy wood blocks that we can use under the jack stands to make them taller? I have had issues supporting the frame when my trucks are jacked up with even my biggest stands. In the past have used concrete blocks with 2x10's over top and then stands on top of that. Remember, we have to get these trucks up 6" or so off the ground to allow working room for spring swapping...and the truck will need to be supported at the frame members, not on the axles. Of course, you can always jack it up and remove the tires and then lower it back down a tad and work from there but I've always left the tires on to save time. We will figure it out but I can see how some blocks may help.

I've never had that problem with my jackstands lifting up moonshine from the frame. I have some PT 4x4s I can bring or even scrap regular 2x6s.

Johnny - I have PT 4x4's and 2x6's we can cut up if need be too. I would say we're good. So glad to have the "president" coming tomorrow. Are you driving Moonshine or flying in on Airforce 1?

I should be there a little after 9.

Thanks for having me today. Hopefully I was a small help and the wheels will not fall off. It was nice to meet so many of you just don't expect me to pass any tests for name and face recognition. See every one soon. Maybe at Logan's run I'll hitch a ride for the day. Rice thanks for the wheels and tires.
