Moab is zero jokes in the summer. I mtn biked mid summer in a former life and almost died. I had 3 water bottles and a camel back and still ran out one day.
It was so dry that the sweat was drying almost immediately.
You need a top, May I suggest a blue tarp? that'd be awesome!

Academy Sports has OD green canvas tarps... kinda expensive way of making something but may work.

That would be great. That's exactly what I was thinking about doing except with some sort of Velcro or something. Was also thinking about just putting grommets in key spots and just using zip ties to hold it on. Let me know what you find Brother!
