GX Windshield Replacement (1 Viewer)

Browsed through several pages in a search on windshield replacement and I guess the 120 doesn't have an issue with the seal like the 80series does.

Last weekend in Baja noticed not one but a double crack in the lower portion of my windshield and this thing is moving across fast.
Want to hear from people who have replaced their windshields and if there are aftermarket options or is there only a dealer replacement? Wondering since there is the sensor near the rear view mirror.

Just learned that everything is on YouTube even GX windshield replacement. So apparently the rain sensor is no big deal you just need to make sure they install a new sensor pad.

Yes and no....Pilkington is supposed to be the best quality aftermarket glass. Just had one installed on my GX a month ago.

Thanks for that info on an aftermarket brand. In one of the videos the installer mentioned that on this one he was replacing the trim did you have anything else replaced besides the windshield?

I believe the trim was replaced

But I also remember that when replacing the side trim....ordinarily it is difficult to find someone that knows how to seat it properly. It is supposed to sit flush with the A-pillar. Some install it wavy!
