Kind of wanted to get one of these.. poor fitment, quality?
It's pretty flimsy and for me without a front bumper it flops around since the bottom part of the grille doesn't have anything to attach to.

Not sure if it had been resolved since I got it but I was part of the very first batch and I had to modify the mounting holes a bit to get it to fit without having too tight of a fit (which would of broke those mounting tabs on a bumpy road).

The screws holding the center piece (LEXUS or TOYOTA) back out so super glue is needed to keep them from completely backing out. Also the lettering for that piece has a silver paint that came off pretty quick and now it's an eyesore.

Not sure if I recommend it to the community.

I have one of their grilles as well on a 2015. The fitment is a little m'eh but I hated the stock one so bad I don't care. Between that and my vanity plate I get a ton of compliments.

Ok gents, ordered an OEM idler pulley, sunroof seal, and a set of NGK iridium spark plugs. Operation: Maintenance continues.

On the subject of the sunroof. I've discovered my carwash leaking issue. The sunroof is loose and does rattle a bit over rough terrain. I rarely hear it since I keep my sunshade cover closed and my radio turned up. LOL Now I get to look into how to tighten the bolts/screws to stop the rattle and recreate a tighter seal since I'll be in there replacing the outer exterior sunroof seal anyway. And as a side note this may be where my excessive wind noise is coming from.

Anyone replaced their sunroof seal that could give me some useful tips?

If the seal is bad (cracked, broken, missing sections), the rattle may be caused by there not being any compression on the seal, the glass is kind of "floating". With a new seal, the glass will want to "squish" down on it and may stop the rattle along with any leaks. Just a thought.

@MrTorgue - check out this thread on sunroof seal

Thanks guys. This helps!

@sheptastic holy ****, that video described my issue perfectly with the thunk.

Made it almost 5 years and 60,000 miles on the Auxito LED low beams. Finally had one go out (passenger) and the other get so dim I couldn't see anything.

Bought another set. Overall I'm pleased with their performance.

Wow! I'm surprised any LED went out! 12 years on factory lights and still working, not that I don't want to upgrade, but haven't had a bulb go out yet.
But again, you do have longer nights in the winter being that far north...

Do you have HIDs?

I am impressed I got that long out of them. Almost 5 years is insane.

I've never messed with the lights, so whatever is factory.

@r2m: IMO: You would notice a difference in with new bulb replacements. I 've had HIDs on all my cars since my 2002 Nissan Maxima and all slowly degraded over time. A couple made it to the failure point where they come on and then blinked out red IIRC.

I figured if you had the AFS or whatever you'd have HIDs. I just have regular old halogens. :(

Swapping out driving and high beams has been on my bucket list when the budget allows.
And it seems that bucket list is getting longer.

I do have AFS, so must have the HID's. :meh:

Maintenance update.

Got my oil change done at 193,180 with full synthetic. Old oil looked good and was at a normal operating capacity. No external leaks anywhere.

Replaced idler pulley, belt looked new still after 30,000 or so miles.

Finally changed out the original spark plugs that were installed during factory assembly. Picture of old plugs attached.

Had a compression test done and I'm at slight odds with the results. But, I think I know what's going on. Below are the #'s by cylinder. I think there is a lot of carbon build up thus not allowing a perfect seal on some cylinders. The truck runs flawlessly and doesn't burn any oil beyond a normal level and with the microscopic seep in a couple plugs tubes so I'm inclined to think it's carbon and my mechanic agrees. A carbon cleaning service is in order as well as new valve cover gaskets. There is a microscopic seep of oil in a few cylinders.

1 = 190
2 = 170
3 = 180
4 = 165
5 = 170
6 = 165
7 = 175
8 = 175

I'm going to attempt to clean the carbon and rerun a compression test and if the numbers don't improve to my satisfaction I'll likely sell and buy another GX460. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there and i may still just keep it anyway.

Thoughts?

We did a thing today. Shortly after these pics we were trudging through 18" of snow at ~5,200ft and decided to turn around and head back. With my wheel speed sensor needing replacement and not having ABS or traction control I decided to not slide down the mountain today with the family. LOL

Peek a boo, we see you. Caught two moose just chilling in the trees at ~4,500ft up. Only one wanted to be photographed. LOL
