I finaly gave in and got myself a mall cruiser..

1993 226,000 miles
Cloth, no lockers
one owner truck
just had new birfs put in recntly

runs great!

The first thing i did was clean the piss out of it.. some people just dont belive in cleaning??

I took it wheeling the first night i got it, and almost tore both running boards off, so now they are off for good!

Its got a shimmy while braking.. im thinking warped rotors..
Anyways, you will be seeing more of me in this section! :flipoff2:

Go to the FAQ for 80/LX450 series. Go to the maintenance section and look at the front axle rebuild. To do just the rotors, you only need to go as far as taking the hubs off. Since the Birfs in Trevors new truck were just replaced, I would assume they did a Front axle job.

Nice score Trevor. After you put lockers in it, your 40 is going to become lonely. :D

I like em naked. :)

pretty easy, Im guessing it just like on my 40.. Pull the tires, Calipers, Hubs.. remove the spindle nuts, pound off old rotor, put in new rotor.. Pack bearings.. new Pads..

Throw some 305's on there or something...it looks nekked

Yea, maybe.. ;) Im going to just drive it for now.. Love the truck, but gas is going to kill me, Im going from a 22re :crybaby:

Is it me or is the 4wd emblem on the wrong side

Could be.. Carfax shows some accidents.. And the Fulltime4wd emblem is kinda falling off.. Its on the list of things to do.. The Tailgate may be off of a newer one?? and the Passenger side Headlight is off of an LX.. Kinda Strange..

Nice score Trevor. After you put lockers in it, your 40 is going to become lonely. :D

Maybe.. Its growing on me.. Sucker drives great on the trail, now i know why all you guys love 80's.. But, Nothing beats the open top :grinpimp:

yea its looking bare without the running boards.. The rear Flares are pretty trashed, im thinking of removing them, maybe doing the linex thing, or possibly just fixing them and paining them..

What is everyone doing when they remove the running boards, maybe trim up the black piece so that it looks a bit cleaner?

Id love to pay a visit to golden and have some armor installed, but id have more in armor than i paid for the whole truck :D

or i could sell the 40...............

NOT

Front flaps - trimmed to match the rear trimmed flaps.

You're taling about the rubber piece on the rear flare, right? I pulled mine off. They unbolt. You should keep them, though, because if you put step sliders on there, you can put the rubber end pieces back on and give it a more factory look.

Congrats on the purchase. You will like it.
