Looking good J, lets hope I can make the compressor holes in my WG panels as accurately as you did for that compressor haha. And thanks for the PMs

Got most of my carpet kit back from my upholster lady this week. We are still negotiating prices on full sets and looking for better color matches. Here is my Goss RED as I call it..

Also ordered the Monstaliner too. I went a shade darker, "Lady in Red", matches the carpet/vinyl a little better and just a hair darker.

J. Carpets look great. What type/thickness are you going with? I still have to do my carpets...probably going to be a huge PITA - went with the marine grade 40oz with rubber backing. i might have to go to an upholsterer out here with it...those look NICE!

This is 24 or 29 oz I can't remember, OEM grade plush. I have a 10' x 16' piece of 40 oz. marine black that I want her to play with as well. IIRC +/- 50% of the marine carpet weight is its rubberish backing.

I'm trying to find a plush and a loop in both the brown and blue-grey to match the 6X's OEM color. Right now the plush brown is a spot on match but nothing else makes me happy.. I've ordered in over 100 sample of blues, greys and browns...

Got quite a bit done this morning...

1) Alt bracket is fabbed, just need to shorten it a bit, about 3/4".. it is barely touching the IC piping now. I may raise the AC comp up another 1 1/2"-2". I have the room and it will give the alt good clearance. Then I can string measure for a new serp belt.
2) finished the sound deadener I have two layers at the firewall, DS/PS floor and once I get the tunnel cover re-worked I'll put two layers there as well.
3) got tired of waiting on my glass guy so... got all the glass removed, NO RUST in the chaneels... WOOHOO.. thats a first for me...

Cheers

HA !.. Its getting there now.. 64 for a high and 40 for a low... We love winter.. The colder the better. I hope to have him done in the next 3 weeks. I would like to take him to Oregon for CTW with Boots and Esh.

And yes!, my Charlie wears his when we explore new BLM routes...

Charlie doesn't look like he'll fit in too many cars...he's a big boy!

64H/40L...what's the elevation? Has the cottonwood turned?

And for what it's worth, I notice over the past weeks folks have been making some pretty fine arguments in favor of heading to the PNW...but I noticed that no one has made the argument for NY/Maine...and not being a native NYer, I really don't feel it is within my purview to do so, but absent a professional opinion, I'll do my best...so here it goes...

But if you come to NY, you won't need a home...you can live like the rest of us...on the streets!!

Well, all those places have very high fish/people ratios (this is a metric I consider important, for some reason...). I can't remember the MUD handle of the guy, but a while back a guy from outside Minneapolis posted some stuff (it wasn't a dedicated build site) about his experience with the resto work on his Land Cruiser...Hilarious!...if I find the thread, I'll repost it here...anyway, sounds like there's some characters out that way, too...

Here it is. His MUD name is Lillopad (see posts #21 and #34):

That's crazy! I tried to convince him to do a dedicated build thread, but not sure he ever did...besides, he had already finished the work when he posted on that thread...but I got a kick out of his writing style! Tried to convince him to write a book or something...seemed like a real character!
