Door jambs in primer. I'll finish up some final sanding tomorrow and then Friday is full primer day. Waiting on primer to dry, waiting on a steel delivery and enjoying a beer.

When I get time to build it/them.... I have a local guy that wants an off-road trailer. I ordered the materials (for 2) and will start building once I get time. The design it pretty simple and has a lid with weatherstripping and toggle/hold down clamps. Should be pretty weatherproof. I'll probably need to order more primer and Monstaliner now.... JEEZ!

Mmm, that new part feel... Cruisers looking great! Cant wait to see Goss in some "lady in red" :)
 
J. Curious on the doors why you left the plastic tabs in from the old weather stripping. Does the primer build-up make getting new ones in too much of a PITA if you don't block them off?

Are you going to sound deaden the doors as well? I just finished doing mine - really impressed with how much sound resonance it takes out of them. Can't wait to see the monstaliner on GOSS.

Several reasons I leave them, but the main reason is... too damn lazy and cheap i guess!... I've tried to save them before and that's pure frustration. Half of them break off or dissappear.

Yes, I have 75 sq ft of Fat-Mat left so the doors will get a layer as well before the window regulators, etc.. go back in..

Long time lurker, first time poster. Very impressed by your fab skills but also your body work and paint looks top notch.

How is it that I take a day off MUD and you accomplish a week's worth of work? You're messing with my self esteem J.:beer:
 
Yeah. His work makes me sick sometimes, IT IS SO GOOD.

But I just got sad because I realized I went to the grocery store tonight and forgot to buy beer.

I assume you're spraying this bad boy with the Monstaliner? How does the finish come out? I think you should paint it so we can see. :D

X2. it's like J can work at some freaky warp speed. on the plus side you know every time you come back to the thread it'll have a cool update. Best comparison i can think of....remember in the Sixth Sense when the mom is in the kitchen talking to her son (Cole) and all the kitchen cabinets are closed...she turns around for two seconds and when she turns back all the cabinet doors are open and she's totally freaked out.

Not saying J has ghosts working with him...that would be strange....but man, I look down at the one lame job I'm working on and the next time I look back J's got around 20 things done on Goss, built 4 front bumpers, 2 rear and is in the process on two other things.

I hope to be twice as slow and half as good some day...would still be a crazy improvement for me. :meh: :popcorn:and :beer:
