Yeah I talked to Michael at the shop a bit ago and he said they are there during the week. I'm not thinking that we won't be able to get the AC space but I'm thinking the number of attendees may overwhelm that space. I texted a couple other guys and they'll likely come as well. Also, one of my vendors here in town just finished building a J**P that they use for a demo/display vehicle. I invited him as well. So, our "small" group is probably going to get a good bit bigger. If we end up with 20-30-40 people I don't think we can cram into the bunk house. We would def want the ACC pavilion for the reasons you stated Steve. I'll see about getting it and whoever wants to camp over there can just pitch in to help cover the cost.

I think Anthony is in and out but doesn't stay there. He, as the "groundskeeper", also manages many other properties for the owners of the park. There is someone that lives in the grandstands though; no idea if they have anything to do with park management though.

Even though I didn't expect the ride to get so big, I was betting that not everyone would want to sleep in the same room anyway; So the pavilion is a good thing to have whether it ends up as primary or secondary anyway.

Got an email back. Told them I wanted to reserve the number 3 pavilion. I'll just put the reservation in my name and we can split the cost between who all is coming. It probably won't be much per person by the time we split it up.

The things she asked for are:

How many people will be attending
How many trucks will be there
List of names and cell #s of attendees

So, we need to get a list going. If you are definitely coming, PM me with your name, cell #, and what truck or trucks you are bringing. Also, everyone will need to sign a waiver before we go.

Edit: We don't have to have a final list until the 8th of July so if you aren't sure or need to cancel, that's fine.

Also, not trying to steal your thunder Jason! Just trying to help out!
Yeah, not trying to take over here, just trying to help out on the planning. Looks like Sam has it better than me though.
They want my money!!!

-Sam, since they're obviously anxious to correspond with you, can you inquire about the building or ask if they've seen my email from two days ago?

The reservation emails go to the office in Birmingham , that's where Jane works. In the past they only wanted the cel for the contact person. The phone number is 205-595-6455 if you need to talk to them. I am planning on bring my camper and camping in a RV space.

No worries here, I just picked a date I was free and didn't want to wheel alone Lol. I'm not much of an organizer so I appreciate all the help and if there's anything I need to do just throw it out there.

And Steve the same goes for you.

We're good Roger. I have my name down for the pavilion. I'll call Monday and give them a deposit. I figured you would be on the RV side and handle your reservation.

So is this going to be the "LOWE Toyota Summer Run"? GSMTR is spring, ACC is fall, so is this going to be the next "annual event"?

It has definitely grown way way past the 4 or 5 that I figured when I first posted it up Lol. Should make for a fun weekend

LIKE!

Actually, we should probably wait until its over to make that call. Its easy right now to say "nah, the heat ain't gonna bother me much". Once we're all there wheeling in an oven for a few days, we'll see how we feel about it then.

I'm with you Steve. If I'm going to have an annual event it's not going to during the hottest time of the year. There's a reason why there aren't many events going on around that time. Maybe in March? ... Something to think about...

Although... we could call it the Lowe Toyota Summer Cookout (since we're all going to be roasting in the heat.)

Lol, agreed. I know TN summers can be pretty hot and humid. Guess we will have to see how it goes. Guess that means that I have about 6 weeks to get my AC sorted out otherwise I might as well just pull the doors and leave them at home....

Doors are overrated... Unless you have AC. Then they're pretty cool.
