Looking for some help to ID which years these door and hard top sides are from.

The doors have the old style latch and the front pivot window...so pre 1974 I believe.

I have a 1969 and seeing if anything is cross compatable. I have read that the rear glass is 1971 and up.

The rear side panels changed again in 8/76 when the kick-out vent windows were introduced, so the ones in your photo are earlier than that.

The pieces were all for the same truck / were on the same truck.

My thoughts are based off the doors...and the turn handle I figured pre 1973.

It seems like the front doors didn't change much and are usable as spares. However I have read that the rear side glass comes in 2 sizes...and the rear corners changed and are the same 1971 and up.

Those doors will definitely fit on the 40, I have doors like that on my 68’ that were off a different 40 at some point. Also the top looks to be the same as the one on my 68’ aswell. The only thing is as previously mentioned was the mounting posts from the top are missing.

So all in all, they should fit just fine.

Pre 73 for the hard top sides. Might be 72 but would need to see picture of the outside to be sure.

What on the outside more specifically...I can get pic

I have read the tops are the same but the glass size changed....atleast on the rears

The gasket was a single piece

The front doors themselves I heard the glass didn't change

Yes at some point (maybe 71) it went from weatherstrips for the windows in 2 parts (with a "key" to lock the main weatherstrip in plat, like the windshield up to 74) to a 1 part weatherstrip.
I believe the "cuts" in the hardtop are the same but the 2 parts weatherstrip take more internal space so glass is smaller. I believe you would install without issue a newer glass + newer weatherstrip on a older hardtop.

Note that your front doors have the hardware for the optional door panel which is a rare option on the old style doors.

those appear to 73/4 sides.
it looks like the windows are not recented into the side but rather flush with it.
Not sure about 73 but 74 should have an upper attachment point for 3-point seatbelt on the hardtop side.

I was trying to figure out the door card situation...
I have one card on one door...and the other has just the edge aluminum trim...

I couldn't find any info on them though

Kind of digging that paint job 😎

The three point attachment started with the 73 even thought we didn't get three point seat belts until 1/76. At that point this piece was added until 2/78 when the seat belts moved.to the roll bar.

Now that the glass is moved can't if they are mid 65 to 7/71 or 7/71-9/72.

I still have the glass...

I have read the earlier glass is smaller...but I wonder if either glass with the new seal would fit in the back.

The corner size changed in 71...and the rears glass compared to the top I have on it seems taller.

Doors are 74, note the pull handle screw spacing is for the strap pull, not the chrome smaller pulls.
the handle to open the door is straight down not horizontal as in earlier 40’s.

I can’t get exact dates because my books are still packed from fire evacuation.

They do point more down vs at an angle like earlier ones
