Are you going to do another run of this?
Ok, fixed. Sorry about that!
thanks quick question. It’s the padded cover. Just the cover and no hard base?

Yes, the padded cover snaps onto one of the other covers- Richlite or LINE-X. It comes with the hardware needed to switch out the regular screws for screws with snaps in 6 places. I actually thought I had no interest personally in one, but had to make one for initial testing. Well, it's still on there! It's comfy for a quick seat on the trail and keeps the surface (Richlite, in may case) underneath pretty clean.

A++ absolutely great product. Everyone should have this. Also the padded cover well worth it super comfy. Even works with my drawer system.

I agree, everyone should have one of these on their trucks! Such a simple idea, but executed with perfection. One of my favorite mods to date!

Has there ever been any consideration to doing a tailgate storage version?

Just received and installed my Trekboxx tailgate cover today. This is an outstanding product with attention to detail as far as fit and finish. Highly recommend this mod.

Didn't realize they came in flavors! Too bad ours has been used as a changing table, probably won't taste too good now :)

Took a quick trip up the hill to start breaking in a new rifle. The tailgate cover was the star of the show. The Richlite made a great work table and the padded cover kept the sharp gravel from offending my delicate sensibilities.

That pic spread shows some great versatility in that product! That would come in handy for shooting out in the wilderness.

How are the snaps with the cover on for your knees if you climb on to reach something in the cargo area? Is there enough padding it's not a knee-cap killer?

I've never noticed them, so I'd say it's a non-issue!

@TrekboxX: Any chance of another group buy / discount? I've had to pull off my stock tailgate liner again today, and the "cardboard" is starting to fall apart. I've been eyeing the R50 + padded mat.

Hey all. Looks like this has turned into a group buy thread for a tailgate cover to replace that nasty old carpet.

Has there been any thought into using Seadek or similar padding for the tailgate? My grey carpet is looking pretty nasty and I would like a cover, but not the snap on padded one. If I am going to add Seadek, I assume the Richlite is preferred over the LineX?

Thanks,

Todd

Yeah, in this thread you’ll find where I got samples of seadek to test. I didn’t find it particularly impressive. Or maybe it was another brand. Either way, knock yourself out. Yes, the Richlite is smoother but I cannot confirm or deny if you’ll be able to stick stuff to it. If you do order make sure to let me know not to put any finish on it. I usually use a beeswax mix which would make it tough for any adhesive to work.
