Great idea. Would it be possible to make the lid sit more flush with the entire surface, similar to Wagongears? Thought that might look super clean and would make the entire surface more usable. Again awesome as it is, just some thoughts.

Yes there will be 2 versions. One is the raised lid and the other would be a flush lid just like wagongears.

Any pics of the inside without all the gear packed in there? Would the flush version be quite a bit cheaper I guess than the raised version in the 1st post? No issues with load bearing on the tailgate surface with either version? IE: you can still sit on it and load stuff on the tailgate?

This is awesome, i wanted to do something like that when I built mmine. It would have taken me too much time and realize if I filled it up, it would be pretty heavy to close and open.

I would be interested in a flush version similar to the Wagongears model, due to my own storage limitations. Will watch this post for updates. Thanks for doing all the leg-work on this!

I nearly bought the wagongear version waaaay back but, with the cost of transport to Spain and other financial commitments I had to let it go. I would not like the box on top of the tailgate version as reaching in is already a PITA but, a flush lid would in effect be the same as wagongear's?

So is it just the price that makes this version more attractive over wagongear version?
