Front swaybar quick disconnects revisited and tested

Disconnects did great in the Needles (Canyonlands). Pretty easy to install, and easy to disconnect/reconnect.

Found a rock to take some poser shots with. My solid axle w/ disconnected swaybar looked the best for sure :)
Thanks @LandCruiserPhil!

Thank you! Definitely looks like you have some awesome flex.
Any other suspension mods to give that amount of flex?

Side note: Where you able to make contact with your Rock Rails?
I've got the heavy springs & shocks (OME) as well as sway bar drops on the front. Nothing else... saving up to do all the rest :)

No contact with the rock rails, which is crazy considering where I was. Plenty of the other guys were sliding around on their sliders. And the flip-up window is actually useful now! Got a 4x4 labs rear bumper finally.

First off, I'm really happy with the service and the quality of the product. I just installed them along with my Dobinson's 4" lift. Disconnected the sway bar and cycled the suspension only to find that even with a 2" sway bar drop, it was still hitting the drive shaft, this was only under partial droop. Went for a drive and could hear a slight interference even on flat pavement. Pulled over and confirmed there was some rubbing.

I'm hoping that the suspension settles some and with the added weight of the bumper and winch I might have the clearance I need. I haven't found anyone making a sway bar drop larger than 2", so not sure what options I have other than hoping. Any suggestions?

I just installed this kit and have a 3" slinky long travel suspension on 35s with a LS swap and 2" spicer front DS. I have a 2" swaybar drop as well and when I cycled the suspension, I too got contact at full drop. I was thinking just to add an inch more on the drop bracket? Was impressed with the gain and ease of install. Nice kit.

Had no idea you were LS swapped! o_O

Keep us posted if adding more drop to your swaybar extensions is a satisfactory option for you guys.

So this mod does not help with the sway bar contacting the drive shaft?

I understand it is intended to provide more flex but I though it also kept the sway bar more out of the way of the drive shaft

It does for people like me who have small lifts around 2.5" or lower, but the guys above have bigger lifts and even more available travel.

I have never seen a swaybar and a front driveline conflict with the swaybar connected. With that said when anyone uses disconnects on the front swaybar and pins it up they should ALWAYS cycle there suspension to verify clearances. Most vehicles require the swaybar mounts to be lowered to runs swaybar disconnects and are normally included with better more complete lift kits.

Again anytime one modifies or changes suspension set up cycling the suspension should always be done. You do not want to find out a conflict on the trail because it never comes at a good time.

in my experience, the only time the swaybar contacts the driveshaft is if you have too much castor correction for your lift and have not dropped the front swaybar appropriately.

Is this also recommended for the rear?

I noticed the site said per pair, would I also want to install these on the rear?

Done see a need to disconnect rear. I run a Whiteline heavy duty rear swaybar and can get full articulation out the rear connected.

Ordered this morning, thanks Phil. I'm sitting on 3.5 front ome kit w/ some sway bar drop brackets. More articulation will be great, I don't do too much crawling yet many roads with constant pitch change, I'm hoping these will help smooth things out and not rock the dog so bad from side to side
